We'll be at WDW the first week of November. Plan for my Epcot day:

-- Akershus breakfast (8:10 ADR, yay)
-- F&W kiosks for MY lunch, kids can have what they want
-- Kids will be sent back to the hotel with grammy around 6pm
-- Thought it would be nice to sit and eat somewhere with my wife.

Our other ADRs are all character meals for the week except for BOG, so something where we can order individual meals would be nice. Open to pretty much anything in terms of cuisine, though being from Maine, seafood isn't a big draw for us (as in, we can get really good seafood cheap at home when we want it).

What would be a good place for a date dinner? Cost isn't a huge factor, but I'm not doing Le Cellier or Monsieur Paul's. I'm also not averse to quick service or something lighter.

Thanks!

My fave spots at Epcot are Restaurant Marrakesh, La Cantina De San Angel, and Tutto Italia for a date night. I do enjoy Biergarten and Via Napoli but the atmosphere is a little more chaotic for a date night.

I do like the look of Marrakesh. Definitely not an environment I can say we've ever dined in before. :D

Our fav places in Epcot that are non character are Teppen Edo and Biergarten. We have also eaten at Coral Reef which was really neat, but the food wasn't anything to rave about. You could also take the boat out of international gateway and eat somewhere like the Beach/Yacht Club, Boardwalk, or Swan/Dolphin as well. I have heard really awesome things about Yachtsman Steakhouse (although that is a signature meal)...also Boardwalk has ESPN Club which is really cool too.

Heading over to the Boardwalk sounds like a good idea, actually. How's Trattoria al Forno?

I have heard good things about this place, but we have never been. My hubby who LOVES italian food wanted to go on our next trip but I just can't seem to find anywhere to plug it into our itinerary, LOL

We really like Trattoria al Forno! We've eaten there twice and really enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. The Boardwalk is a lot of fun at night.

I also wanted to suggest Spice Road Table. We much prefer their food over Marrakesh. The food and service are wonderful and it's really lovely sitting on the water. If you time it correctly, you can even see Illuminations from the restaurant.

How about Rose and Crown. A nice little English pub to hang out in and have a couple drinks and a meal?

I second both Spice Road Table & Rose & Crown. You can experience Illuminations ( my favorite nighttime show - but I haven't seen new Star Wars fireworks) from both. Both are unique to WDW.
We enjoy Yachtsman's Steakhouse at the YC, but it is a good high end steakhouse like you can experience in any major city & not really unique to WDW
ENJOY your evening.

If you are not limited to inside Epcot - Signatures at Swan & Dolphin are a cut above Disney-run Signatures.

Il Mulino is great Italian, blueZoo is great (mostly) seafood, and Shula's has great steaks (and chocolate souffle for dessert).

This morning I booked dinner at Sanaa. Totally not near Epcot, but the more I looked at the restaurants, the less exciting they seemed. I mean, thematically, they're great, but as far as food nothing g was really standing out. (I had booked at Marrakesh, but so many olives and hummus!) But Indian food. That makes me happy.

So we'll put the kids and my mom on a bus back to AoA and they can eat at Landscape, and we'll get on a bus to AKL, eat, see some animals, and explore the resort a bit. Catch an Uber back.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Great pic with Sanaa. Clearly not close to Epcot :-) but in my opinion the best non-signature table service on property. Be sure to get the bread service too. It's amazing

You chose wisely!! Wonderful food, great service and night time animal viewing!!!

Echoing the others, we reserved multiple times for Sanaa on our trip to make sure we had a meal there!
