Das ??

If you have a DAS and FP+, you could potentially loop 3 times in quick succession.

First, get a return time that is close to your FP+ time.
Return and ride with DAS return time.
Reboard with FP+ return time, and get a DAS return time at the same time.
Chances are when you are done riding the second time, you won't have to wait long for your DAS return time.

Or, get to the park at rope drop and ride many times while few people are there.

Or, stay late and ride when the park empties out. My DD loves BTMRR, and there was basically no line during Wishes (and that was in spring break!). She was able to loop it about 6 times (by leaving and returning into the line) in quick succession. Too many for me....

I would tend to agree though that looping crowded rides should not be accommodated except in the case of MAW kids. There are just too many other ways you can get your "lots of rides" fix without special accommodations.

We were given extra anytime FP when we had to wait for things... magic bands didn't work or a ride closed. We got a total of 5 last week.

I think looping is wrong and unfair to other guests which is why even under the GAC I never let my kids do it. (MAW aside)

Tinkerpea is correct. There still are additional accommodations that can be made for those with DownSyn or Autism who need to ride several times in a row.

No they don't need to ride several times they want to ride several times. Big difference. You need to breathe you want to eat ice cream.

Again I think Disney is starting down the slope that lead to problems with the GAC if they start doing this again.

I have issues with the term 'need' they WANT to ride it and it may be cognitively difficult to make them understand that 'you can't always get what you want' but it is still unfair. and to say "well they are on the Spectrum so they are special and their every whim should be accommodated since they have it so rough in all other aspects of their lives" drives me nuts. esp. the parents who try and justify it by saying they want said special treatment and couch it as a courtesy to everyone else(I don't want to subject all the other people in line to my child's temper tantrums)

EQUAL access, not special access.

I have a 'normal' nephew who in his younger days was obsessed with a particular ride at Sea World, and would want to ride it ad infinitum. if the line was empty or very short, no biggie. but when it got long then he was told very firmly that it was time to go and do something else for a change as the REST of his family had THEIR things THEY wanted to do.

Looping is an unfair accommodation no matter who wants it. I wanna ride Soarin' all day too..

Do you have a child with these special needs? If not, I don't understand why you are piping in besides to be a jerk.

It should be shut down. The OP was asking a question and some people just decided to pipe in with their comments about people with disabilities....nothing surprises me anymore.

I have a child with special needs.

But I personally don't feel that someone needs to have one as a qualifier to have an opinion. The GAC/DAS issues affect park operations for everyone.

well that's mature. someone has a dissenting opinion and you start calling names.

I have a SEVERELY Autistic nephew.. Non verbal, close to 250 pounds, puts in his parents in the hospital regularly. and since Mom and Dad cannot get through to him , they have chosen TO NOT put him into situations where he can HAVE meltdowns. he's been kicked out of every school in the state he lives in and is bussed across state lines into the only ( and last) school) that can handle him. when( not if , but when) he gets to be too much for even that school to handle him, he will be institutionalized.

maybe at that point his three siblings will actually have the opportunity to got to WDW for the first time. in the meantime their childhoods have sucked as all the resources of the family has been spent on him.

The OP's question did not ask for everyone's opinion...it asked for an answer to a specific question. Some people decided to pipe in with their opinion because they didn't like the answer.

Posters here have a right to express their opinions. If you don't agree with their opinion, you don't have the right to call names.

Closing since this thread has gotten argumentative.
Will remove some posts later

This thread has nothing to do with opinions. It was a simple question where the OP needed a question answered. And the opinion police felt like piping in because they didn't like the answer. Sounds typical these days.
