We plan to get a DAS for our 2 boys on our upcoming trip (one week from today!) and will have just our family of 5 for the first few days and will then be joined by my parents for 4 days so would then have 7 people. Would we need to get the DAS reissued when my parents join us? And do we get a DAS for each of our boys, or just one? Thank you.

if you are going to Disneyland, everyone needs to be with you when you apply, even with only 5. They actually 'attach' the park passes for the rest of your party to the DAS.

At WDW, they will do up to a total of 5 without all being present.

At both places, you will need to go back to get the DAS reissued for the larger number. Anything over 6 is an exception to the usual.

If you will pretty much always be all together, you might get only one DAS. If you have 2, the total number of people will be divided between the 2 cards. So, if both kids want to ride the same attraction, both will need to get a DAS RETURN time.
If only one wants to ride something, that child would get a Return Time including some of your group to ride with.

Thank you. We will be at WDW. We will almost always be all together.

We had the same situation just last week. We went from 4 to 10. We just made sure everyone was there for a head count, and GS in Epcot issued a new DAS with no problem.

At WDW, you will have to go back in. I have been told at DL, that any of the kiosks can handle a change in party size, even to a size larger than 6.

When we were there in March, we had to go to either City Hall or the Chamber of Commerce to get a new DAS issued for our son when our group size changed from 3 to 5.

Now, this was early last year, before they started tying the DAS to park tickets so this might have changed.

Yes, this changed when they changed to scanning everyone's ticket.
