HI! I had mentioned a few times that I was going to do a TR for my trip, mainly to show how we used the DAS and what it was like.

I JUST started it today, and it's going to take a bit to get through, but I did mark down wait times, time in the FP line, etc in order to be really thorough in addressing some of the concerns a lot of people seem to have.

Anyway - follow along if you'd like :) Link is also in my signature. Hopefully it will help show how we planned out our FP+ to use in combination with the DAS, and also how it ended up working once we got there.

Thank you I will be there in 11 days and I hope I can get a DAS so I will be reading your posts

Thanks for doing all the hard work. I was thinking about doing something similar on our trip in DLR, but, didn't keep track too well. We had no problems.

One tip that I learned is that we were in California Adventure early to get Fast Passes (old system at DLR) for World of Color and Radiator Springs Racer. We stopped at the kiosk in CA and got our ride time for Haunted Mansion in Disneyland. By the time we entered Disneyland and walked to the Haunted Mansion, our time was up. When we left the parks for an afternoon break, or had a meal, we made sure to get a return time. Bottom line, we always had an active return time and a FP time. Worked great!

Thanks again.

We utilized it in a very similar way. We always had something active, even if I didn't think we'd use it for awhile.

Thanks.
I actually intended to do a trip report for our WDW trip in March/April, but never got around to it.

I did take pictures of my watch with my cell phone as I am sure it lines, then took another picture as we were getting on the attraction. That showed the wait time in the fast pass line. In almost all situations, we did not wait more than 10 minutes. In fact, it was usually more like five minutes going through the fast pass line, even if the line seem very long.
The line for Buzz ight year looked very long but we actually only waited 10 minutes and that included the wait for the wheelchair accessible ride car.

That was during Spring Break, so one of the busiest times of the year.

Thanks.

That was our overall experience as well. We ended up not needing the DAS a ton since waits were short in standby lines.

I did note that on one of our waits for TSMM we were stopped at the 2nd FP+ scanner for almost the entirety of our wait. The CM said something about the stairs and fire code capacity. It felt like forever, but it was only about 6 minutes total. It just felt longer because we were standing there not moving. It made me glad I actually used the exact times because my perception of the time was much different than the reality of it.
