DAS - stage shows?

How does DAS work with stage shows? i.e. Disney Jr Dance Party, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Festival of the Lion King, etc.... I understand you can get a FP for these, but how does it work with DAS is there's no "wait time" posted???

Also, will DAS will work with the character greetings that offer fast passes? (New to using DAS at Disney World. We've used it twice at Disneyland and never tried it for any shows and was told it doesn't work there with character greetings).

DAS with characters is only if there is a FP option for that character. If the character does not have a FP option, DAS does not work. You get a return time at the entrance to the line for the character just like at an attraction.

For shows, I think when we checked in with the CM at the show line, they assigned us to come back about 10-15 minutes before seating for the show, if they needed us to come back. If it was a continuous loading show, they sometimes just directed us to the hold section, especially if the wait was under 15 minutes.

For shows, at WDW they do have both Fastpass and Standby, so there is a posted wait time for most.
That said, the DAS Return time will usually be for the next show.

The only time it would not be for the next show is if the Standby area already has more people waiting than will fit in the next show or if you ask for a later Time. Whether you are going into the next show or another, the DAS Return Time for shows does have an end time (unlike DAS for rides). That is because your Return Time is for a specific showing time.
