DAS Return Time for Character Meets?

Not somethinf I have ever really considered, but family friends are going soon and want to know if character meet and greets have return times.

Mostly their kids are obsessed with Toy Story characters, but in no way could their SN child wait in these 40+ plus lines to meet them she's been reading about online.
I know for people like Ariel who have a whole meet and greet spot you can get a return time, but what about these guys?

It really depends on the CM you may ask if someone in your group waits out side the line with the SN child and you meet them closer to the front. They are sometimes good at finding way to work with you. Or find when they start seeing people and get there a little early sit and have a snack or just take a rest this way your first or close to first in line and it dose not seem like your really in line but just taking a break to eat or do what ever

This depends....is this Disneyland or Disney World?

At Disneyland, nope, not going to happen, but often if you speak with the CM they can come up with something.

At Disney World, if there is a permanent location with a FP queue, you can definitely get a return time. If the permanent location doesn't have a FP queue, you MIGHT be able to get a return time, if it is just out and about, chances are you won't be able to get a return time, but talk with the CM, they might be able to assist in some way.

If it is an external queue at WDW, let the CM know that one person will be with the child someplace else, and the rest of the party will be waiting in the queue.
