DAS / Guest relations question

I have an 8:35 am breakfast at crystal palace. Park opens at 8am for EMH, but we are staying offsite, so do not normally qualify for EMH.

We need to stop at guest relations to get a DAS card. Even though technically the park isn't open to me because I'm staying off site, will I be able to get into guest relations and get my DAS on my way to crystal palace (say at 8:10ish), rather than having to backtrack after breakfast?

I'm honestly not sure how early they'll allow you into the park for a breakfast ADR during EMH as an off-site guest. I know normally they do not allow guests in early for ADRs until about 5-10 minutes prior -- basically time to walk to the restaurant. I wouldn't count on enough in-park time prior to your ADR to get the DAS, especially if there is any line at Guest Relations.

You can also try at the Guest Relations outside the turnstiles -- they may or may not be issuing DAS there that morning. If they are too busy with ticket issues they will direct you to get DAS inside the park, and you may need to go after your ADR.

I agree that they do not allow guests in too much in advance of the ADR time. On our first trip to WDW, I had a 9:00am ADR at CRT. Since we allowed the customary 1 hour for transportation to the park and it didn't take that long, we got to the MK about 30 minutes ahead of the ADR. I wanted to go on in because I wanted to rent a stroller before the ADR (plus we had the walk to the castle, plus you are supposed to arrive 15 minutes ahead of your ADR), they initially told me I was too early to enter the park. After I mentioned needing to stop to rent the stroller, they begrudgingly allowed me to enter. But that wasn't an EMH day so it wasn't like there was anything else I could do other than get the stroller, take a couple of pictures on Main Street, and go to my ADR.

It couldn't hurt to ask if you could get in a few minutes early, but be prepared to wait. You could also just pop your head into City Hall and see if there's any wait for GS. If there isn't, you might still have enough time to get the DAS and briskly walk to the CP.

I got a das outside mk at guest services just recently. So you should be able to get one there.
