DAS available during halloween or xmas parties?

We used the DAS pass last year during our trip but was thinking about making at trip this year just for a party... I thought I read FP+ lines are shut down during the parties so are DAS available still?

Yes it is, but we did not need it even on a sold out Christmas party night. The lines are all pretty short.

They gave us a solid no during last Septembers MNSSHP.

Officially, yes. Reality? It depends on the CM you encounter at the ride. I’ve been told by Guest Services that the DAS should work during EMH and MNSSHP (at least that is what I was told this past fall, but it is possible they are following a different policy now). However, the CMs at the rides were not always aware of this and were confused by it when I tried to use it on rides with a posted wait time of over 40 min since FP+ was not in operation. Some flat out refused me (which is why I went to clarify at Guest Services several times at different parks). Even at Guest Services they had to verify with a supervisor.

However, I was told that DAS was not available during the DVC moonlight magic events by Guest Services. That event just so happened to be the first time I went into a park on that particular trip and I wanted to get it set up, so they mentioned it to me.

Yes, absolutely. We have used it many times during EMH on many different visits. Never encountered a single problem.

I can't speak to the halloween parties, but assume they are similar to the christmas parties. In December we went to a MVMCP, arriving just after 4. I went to guest services to get a DAS, expecting to only be able to use it until the party started. The CM who issued it made sure I knew I could use it during the Party as well. I said something like "really? I thought I couldn't" and he explained that I definitely could, how to use it, and that if I had any problems at an attraction to ask to speak with a Lead.

We used it a few times. One they let us straight in even though the wait was longer than 10 minutes (not sure if that was pixie dust or due to confusion). Another they gave us a return time. One they were a bit confused since FP wasn't open, but gave us a return time anyway. Most of the time it durig the party it wasn't needed at all since the lines were so short.
