DAS and shows

Not really.
. . . it does not get you a better seat (seats assigned by date/time you book)
. . . all get in at the same time, no wait-time savings
. . . thus, no benefits to/for DAS

Which type of shows are you talking about?

I just want it to be clarified because the previous response to you seems to assume you're talking about shows that need to be booked. I'd thought you meant the shows that are first come first served and part of a regular park admission.

Even though it was Spring break when we went to WDW, with some planning on which park was likely to be the least busy, we ended up with many short waits. Assuming you mean the attractions at WDW that are presented in theaters, here are some examples from our recent trip.
Guests using DAS enter the theater/show area using the Fastpass Plus entrance.

Little Mermaid at the Studio - we were given 3 choices of return times and this DAS did have a window of time with a beginning time and an ending time.
We entered the Fastpass line and from there went into the waiting room with other guests who had Fastpass Plus. After the Fastpass Plus guests were let into that room, guests from the Standby line were let into the room to fill it. Then, that room was let into the theater.

The Tiki Room at MK did not have a Fastpass Plus line yet (they were constructing it). Because it is a pretty small theater, I imagine they might give a specific Return Time window like Mermaid did, especially for a guest using DAS and a wheelchair.

Muppets 3D at the Studio - We were using Fastpass Plus, which would work the same way as DAS. there was no need to use DAS here. The theater holds a lot of people and there was no line. So we went right into the preshow area as we arrived at the attraction.

Mickey's Philharmagic at MK - the Fastpass Plus line was a much straighter shot in than the regular line. The Fastpass Plus line entered directly into the last waiting room before you renter the theater.

Enchanted Tales With Belle - Guests using the Standby line enter into Belle's cottage and walk thru several rooms, waiting a few minutes at each one before going into the next room.
Guests using the Fastpass Plus line enter directly into Maurice's workshop and go in before the guests who have gone thru the Standby line. The only advantage to us was that we entered an empty room and could go all the way to a far wall.
For the rest of the attraction, guests who used Fastpass Plus are mixed with the guests who entered thru the Standby line.

Laugh Floor at MK - the Fastpass Plus line is a little more direct line into the last room (preshow area) than the Standby line. We had a wheelchair, so we entered the preshow area to the right side, which is only for guests with disabilities.

Finding Nemo show at AK - we used Fastpass Plus here, not DAS. I am not dire, but think they might give a Return Time window like for Little Mermaid. With Fastpass Plus, we entered before the general guests were let into the theater. There were no specific seating areas. About 10- 15 minutes before the dhow began, they let in the other guests in the Standby line and the theater filled quickly.

Bug's Life at AK - we used Fastpass Plus, but it would be the same for DAS. The Fastpass Plus and Standby lines are separated thru the enter queue (with the exception of one area where there was a large central area without ropes and after crossing that area, the Fastpass and Standby lines were again separated).
The Fastpass Plus line entered onto the area under the tree by a different door than the Standby line and waited in the same dark, 'underground' area, but still separated off. The Fastpass Plus line entered the front of the theater, do had access to the front 1/2 of the seats and the Standby line entered at the rear.
