How have the crowds been lately for the parties? I know there is no DAS on party nights but last years party the lines were really long and unfortunately our plans were affected by it. We are hoping the ticket increase price has lowered the crowds a tad. We were not going to go but we will be in Orlando for a cruise and hard to resist an afternoon/night at Magic Kingdom.

I went this year ( NSSHP ) and last year Both NSSHP and MVMCP) I do use the DAS ( I was able to use it last year at the party for 7DMT) but did not even try this year. at this years party I was able to do 2 meet and greet ( I forgot who they were) but the line was only 20 minute ( normally my max is 15), but I had an amazing person being me that picked up that I had problems in lines crowded areas and she was able to Gove me more room to move and I was able to step out of the lines some time I always stayed close 10 to 15 feet a way. I was able to see the parades and firmer works.

if you can go I would the lines for the rides are short and if you want too see someone and do not care who it is then you can find a short line. I do not think the price decrease crowds but it did not increase them either.

We always do the second parade as it is less crowded. Good to know for 7DMT. We should get there at 4pm opening so hoping if the wait isn't too long to grab it then. thanks

ALso know the DAS work between 4 &7 and some people say they were told the DAS is not used during the party. But that was not my Experience

The only place I have heard or experienced DAS being used during parties is 7 Dwarfs Mine Car ride. If Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Small World or Jungle Cruise are open, they still may give wheelchair return tickets because the regular entrance and/or loading is not accessible (whether or not they are giving them depends on how busy it is).
Those are not DAS related though.

I have heard of people having a member of their party stand in line for character meets while they wait outside of the line, but that's about it for character meets.

There are handicapped viewing areas for the parades during parties, but they do get very full and start filling up the same time as people in general are starting to wait.. The 2nd parade is less busy for both handicapped and regular viewing.
