I get a DAS pass for a condition I have and it helps greatly. For an upcoming trip, I am in an additional unusual spot. I was in a bad car wreck and broke both of my legs. I am recovering and don't know how mobile I will be for this trip. It is still several months away and a lot can change.

I anticipate I will for sure need to use a scooter for the first time at Disney just to get around. Hopefully by then I will be able to walk short to maybe medium distances with a cane comfortably.

My previous condition that I get the DAS pass for still exists, too. So I am confused on whether I should still call to renew the DAS pass, too.

I guess I would default to still getting the DAS pass in case I am not thinking of something.

Any advice?

I use a scooter but need a DAS for a completely unrelated condition. I did the online registration and talked about the reason I needed the pass. I did not mention the scooter since it was irrelevant. No issues.

Thanks. That makes me feel better about my thinking.

Guests registering for DAS will be asked a question similar to this:

“What are your concerns with waiting in the regular line?”

If your concerns are met by using a scooter in line, you don’t need DAS because you can use the scooter in line without DAS.
If your concerns are not met by using the scooter in line and/or if you have additional needs that are not met by the scooter, those are what you should be prepared to discuss.

My youngest DD can’t stand or walk and uses a wheelchair. Even on the video chat, it’s visible, so it does get brought up. We discuss her needs that the wheelchair can’t meet.
