DAS and friends

My son has been approved for DAS. We are a family of 4. While on our trip, we will be meeting up with 2 friends for 2 days in the parks. They are not linked to us on MDE. Can they be added to our DAS? How do we go about doing this? My son has been eligible for DAS for years, so we are pros, but we've never met up with anyone else during our trips. This is an unknown situation for us. Thank you!

I believe you will need to link yourselves as friends and family within MDE. Then once you meet up, stop by guest services or the guest service umbrellas and let them know your friends joined you and ask that they be linked to your son's DAS. Should not be a problem. I have renewed mine in the park when part of my party is not there and when those people are there, I just add them into the DAS.

Also if you have trouble linking them as friends and family for someone reason, there's a help line to call. They were super helpful a couple of years ago when we had an issue that ended up being partially on their end and partially on our fault

Definitely get them linked up with you as friends and family, sometimes it can be a pain so I would suggest doing it before your trip where you can access stuff online and not stress about it. When you talk to DAS they ask who all is in your party, you can at that point list all the names of people in your party - even the ones coming later. Then when you are putting yourself in line for rides, you pick and choose who you want to go on the ride with you.

For example if someone is hungry and wants to run off and get food instead of riding the ride, you just don't select their name when making your ride reservation. You can only ever select 5 additional people from your list to ride a ride with you.
