Hello Everyone!
Ive been a longtime lurker

So this brings me to my very own Pre Trip Report & eventually Trip report.

This is the most rushed trip I have ever booked for us. Who is us? Well that would be myself (28) Rose , my hubby M (33) & our very talkative, very sarcastic & very silly 4 year old son MJ. Ill get into us a bit more later on. (once I figure out the whole picture thing!) This will be our 5th Family Trip to the world (my 7th & hubbys 6th). Our very first trip with our son was when he was 17 months old & it was a great trip since then we have taken my sister & mother on trips with us.
So lets get on with this trip. Since our last trip (Sept/Oct 11) we have been saying that we wanted to go back to the World .planning a trip back after one is over is the best medicine to help get over leaving Disney. However I had said that I DID NOT (the horror I know!) want to go back until Fantasyland was completed & we booked a Christmas trip. I keep dreaming of the day I can walk down Main Street USA with Christmas Decorations up! Hubby who had never been to Disney until I took him & thus converting him into a Disney Lover kept telling me he was missing Disney World & that we should go back .but I kept telling NO! We HAD to wait till the holiday season to go back! He said he did NOT want to wait that long to go back but I kept telling him it would be the best thing to do! Well that only worked until our SON starting saying he wanted to go back to Disney. He missed Disney .most importantly he missed the Hotels. Side note since our VERY first trip my son always talks & mentions two things about Disney. The first one being the hotels we stay Value & the HUGE decorations stick out to him in his mind & secondly the Mickey Balloon Sticker Decals that were on the busses. So of course hearing our son say he needs to go back to Disney was the final straw. I mean how could you say NO when not only do you have your husband telling you he wants to go, but you have your 4 year old giving you sad face & saying he misses Disney!?!?
I started looking for deals & flights & rooms in April first we had to cross out 2 weeks in May due to my sisters college graduation & then after that it was memorial day! So that was it I told my hubby that we had to give up our plan on going because there was NO way I was going in June. Wed have to suck it up and wait till November or December. Then my hubby went out & bought the Star Wars Collection on Blu Ray & said that we had to sit & show the movies to our son! So of course 20 minutes into Star Wars Ep. 1 our son was HOOKED! He loves R2D2 & loves everything about the movies. This of course made my wheels start turning and I looked up Star Wars Weekend. I figured weve been to Disney enough times that we dont have to be on a mad dash to ride everything or see everything ( not that its possible to do it all!) Finally I told the hubby if we went wed have to do it the first week of June half the country is still in school & Star Wars Weekend will make up for any crowds we deal with since well be experiencing something new to us. The look on our sons face when we told him wed be taking him to Disney soon & that he would (hopefully) face Darth Vador was more than enough & I purchased out flight that same night! Good thing too every day since the flight we purchased has only gone UP.
There is ONLY one downside on this trip. This will be the first trip we do without a discount! No free dining, no % off the room. Oh well .we cant always go to the World on a discount! =) Once we got over the shock of no discount -_- we sat back with a HUGE smile on our faces WERE GOING TO DISNEY!
So we will be leaving LGA Friday June 1 & coming back home Sat June 9th. So we will get to enjoy SWW for 2 ½ days & cannot wait. We will be staying at Pop Century our favorite Value resort. Its perfect for us 3, plus our son LOVES the décor! Cant beat that! We will have an 8 day basic park ticket. We did Park Hopping last trip & wasted too much time. Plus with the heat & all Id rather stick to one park daily not to mention were going in JUNE the parks close later than what were used to going in Oct. We have only 2 missions on this trip. Mission number one HOPEFULY get our son into the Jedi Training. Second Mission: Get a picture with R2Mickey & the gang. If we can accomplish that for our son our trip with be complete & everything else will just be extra pixie dust!
So of course from the day we booked our trip we were 36 days out! Shortest countdown every for us! Now were at a mere 25 days out & I still have to plan out our days, pack, buy what we need & not go bananas. Oh yeah I also have to see how I am going to surprise our son with the trip. See we told him we were going to go but he had no idea when & I told hubby I want to tell him when we are on our way to the airport .or at the airport since associates plan rides with Disney World.
Cant wait to share all my planning & get ideas & feedback from everyone!
