Darth Vader at Jedi Training

hi
The last time we were at HOllywood studios, my 3 sons were very excited to do Jedi training and to fight Darth Vader. They were not so enthusiastic when they got to do Jedi training with the other character and missed DV altogether.

Any ideas/tips on how to get into the DV group? How do the CMs choose who goes where?

TIA

When we were there, the cast members didn't choose who...it was determined by the circle spots the kids stood on when they were waiting for their robes...back circles went to DV...front circles went to DM...not sure if they still do it this way, as this was last spring.

It was the same when we were there a few weeks ago. Kids furthest from the wall got DV. Kids close to the wall got Seventh Sister. This will make sense when you get there :) Arrive early as the kids pick the circles after they check-in.

We were there last week and my kids did Jedi training twice- the kids were lined up in two different spots- the morning time next to the building "next to the wall"- in the afternoon they were right outside where we signed up, closer to Indiana Jones (no wall, just the open area). Each time the line that would be on the left as you walk towards Jedi training, was the group to fight the Seventh Sister, and the line that would be on the right as you walk towards Jedi training, was Darth Vader.

I'm confused . . . These last two replies contradict each other . . . I think.

Is it that kids furthest from the wall get DV or "next to the wall?"

Help!

I think the confusion is because there are two places they may be lined up- that's what we experienced. because they are on two different sides of the building the left (once they start walking) is outside on one side and "closest to the wall" on the other. If you want Darth Vader, wherever you line up, picture the kids walking from there to the stage. They need to be on the right side.

Are the parents with the kids when they pick their spot or are they with just CMs and the other kids?

Ok, thanks.

We were just there last week and they started doing a new line up procedure. They have the kids line up in the covered area where the sign-ups happen to keep them out of the sun. There is a rope chain that separates the kids from the parents while they are getting their robes. The line that is closest to the rope chain fights Vader and the line behind them against the wall fights Seventh Sister. The kids fighting Vader will still be on the right side walking over. And the ones on the far right dots will be the ones to carry the banner as they walk over.

So is it safe to say, based on the various line-up procedures that people have listed, that so long as the kids are in the right-side line as they walk up, then they will be facing Vader? This is our first time ever doing JTA - have never even watched it - so we are total newbies and I don't know how to picture any of these line combos. But I can remember to stay in the right lane.
