Darth Vadar helmet?

Hi all...I tried searching the Halloween thread but my phone is acting up and there was a lot to read through. Forgive me if this has been asked before...
We will be attending the Halloween party this year again and DD (10) would like to be a girl Darth Vadar. She's planned it out but we are unsure of the helmet. I say it doesn't fall into the guidelines and would not be allowed. DH says its a kid and they will allow it. I can't ever remember seeing any Darth Vadars running around at the parties. Any experience with kids and masks like that? And if we risked it and she showed up wearing it and CMs say no can we just put it in our backpack? Or do they take it away? The helmet is my husbands and was pretty expensive!

From the tickets for MHP (also in the MHP FAQ on page 1 of the HalloweenTime SuperThread):
Guests may wear masks. However, masks must not obstruct vision, and eyes must be visible at all times.

They will not confiscate it, but they may not allow you to bring it into the park. I would have a plan in mind on where to store it (e.g., locker in the Esplanade, back in the car/hotel room).

They do sell a Mickey Mouse Darth Vader helmet in the parks. I don't have a photo, but if you Google "Mickey Darth Vader Helmet" you'll see photos of it. It has the basic shape of a Vader helmet, but without the face plate and it does have Mickey ears.

I suppose she's going for realism, but they do sell a Mickey Mouse Darth Vader helmet in the parks. I don't have a photo, but if you Google "Mickey Darth Vader Helmet" you'll see photos of it. It has the basic shape of a Vader helmet, but without the face plate and it does have Mickey ears.

Great suggestion! She is definitely not going for realism- her costume consists of a black Darth Vadar t-shirt and a black tutu. She is planning on black tights and some type of boots to go with it. Ill show her the Mickey Vadar today and see what she says.

Instead of Darth Vader, perhaps Dark Helmet :lmao:

As figment_jii said, the info was right on page 1, question #15 (in post #3) of the Halloween thread. And if you can't use the "Search This Thread" feature on your phone you can always post questions in that thread.

Part of the reason the Superthreads exist on any subject is to cut down on the number of separate pop-up threads! :goodvibes

Thank you! I realized all of that info but as I said, the app on my phone makes it difficult to navigate the site, and often difficult to even post. Sometimes the only feature that works is to post a new thread. I'm totally un tech savvy and can never figure out what the issue is. I wonder if it is an android problem, as I have had this trouble on the boards with three phones now. Very frustrating for a Disney addict trying to get their fix!!
And thank you for putting in all the hard work on the super threads! Pretty awesome!

Thank you for the kind words!:flower:

I am certainly not one who would know if it's an Android problem -- I use my phone so infrequently (literally, just for emergencies or extreme situations) that I still have an old flip phone!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I haven't even bothered to upgrade to a smartphone or better phone (one on which I could load apps!)!:rotfl2: Isn't that sad?:lmao:

It seems like I remember reading someone's comment about trouble/glitches while viewing this forum on their phone, but it was quite a while ago. I don't know if it was a DIS problem or a phone problem.

Smart phones are over rated! I only got mine because there were no other options. I fought it as long as I could! It does come in handy now that I've had a few back surgeries. Much easier to be on the phone than sitting at the computer.
Next time I am at the computer I'll have to search the boards and see what I can find about phone issues- not that I would understand anyways!!
