We were at the Jedi training academy for the first show of the day. There were 2 noticeable and funny glitches. One was the Jedi Master's microphone cut out so that Darth was having a one-way conversation, and two, was when Darth Maul dropped his red double edged light saber on the ground. He picked it up right away but boy did he get some ribbing from the other CMs that help with the show. We found it quite funny and wondered if the Disney suits were going to dock his pay ;). He really should've had his V-8.:thumbsup2

This is but one example of the great fun we've been having since arriving last Saturday.

That's awesome you had a good experience!

We had a terrible one. We went to the last show today. My newly 4 ds was so excited to get to participate (yes, we did say he may not get to). We got there early, he was right up front, he did everything the preshow CM's told the kids to do, he had his birthday button on and the Master picked every kid surrounding mine, but not him. He was the only one that got there early that was not picked. Kids were just walking up and getting picked, but my sweet little guy was left crying. That's so heartbreaking to watch! He got mostly over it quickly, but still, such a bummer and it left a sour taste in our mouths. I know not every kid can do it, but when he's front and center and the only kid left there jumping around yelling "pick me" and he gets glazed over....ugh.

So sorry your DS didn't get picked. Hope you have time for another attempt and that he gets picked next time. Perhaps try the first show at 10:30 am. We parked ourselves front and center at 9:52 am. DS had his Star Wars shirt on, birthday button, and sign.

Man, don't you hate that!!! It's one thing if it's you, but when it's your kids.....

We had to go to two shows in a row the other day because DD got picked for the first show but DS didn't (and cried). For the second show, DH and I sat beside him instead of behind him and didn't point to him this time. We had DD not volunteer, since she had already done it. So DS stood out because there were no kids standing up next to him. After he got picked, we let DD stand up and they picked her too.
