So, the last time my DH and I went to WDW with our 3 girls (dec. 2009), we decided the next trip wouldn't be until 2013. Now, we were watching tv the other day and the disney commercial came on where the announcer says something to the effect of "because we know there are only so many trips til she finds her prince charming....". Being parents to three little girls, this struck a huge cord with us. Long story short......I'm beginning to plan the next trip for 2012! ;)

I know that commercial and it made me want to go back sooner than later as well :thumbsup2 Now I just need to convince my wife!

We've experienced it.....18 years with both of our children and then off to college and never to return.....those 18 years are so precious and fly by so fast....

We were thankful to being introduced to WDW in 1977 and basicially did a trip every year and are still doing them.....with 45 trips accomplished and headed for 46 in a couple of weeks, there are no regrets in bring up our children in the Disney style......never took a trip without them until they were married, and now we still do a trip now and then when able.....especially now, seeing Disney through the eyes of grandchildren are priceless.....

Time flies and waits on no one.....enjoy them while you can and Disney is a great place to do that....

Glad we don't have TV anymore... I would be sobbing every time something like that came on. ;)

My extended family thinks my Disney obsession is hilarious. DH and I are very tough, super logical, to the point kind of people, but even just the littlest Disney conversation, memory, etc will make us either giddy like little kids or the tears start. :upsidedow

My oldest is a teen and Disney is the only place where I can feel like she's still a little kid... she'll hold our hands and be in awe over the little things. :goodvibes DH and I were just talking the other day about not seeing Disney through the eyes of toddlers again. Our youngest two are going to be 8 and 6 this year. Disney will still be great with them, but I am so thankful that we had the experiences of a few trips when they were younger. I definitely cry when I think about them getting their first haircuts or DS's little face with his mouth wide open the first time we rode IASW. :lovestruc

I have to say, Disney's commercial's this year are really effective! They did a great job with them... it's the Good Life song that really gets me! :rotfl2:

"I'm too excited to sleep" was much more compelling for me, but the latest commercial makes me groan every time knowing I'm not on my way.

Pepe: I know the feeling and wish to some day have grandchildren to take to disney world. I would love a granddaughter to have her dressed up at BBB to be my little princess.

We have 2 girls we were suppose to get new carpet this year. My husband just said it is only 5 years old we can just get it cleaned again. We were going to cancel but my almost 4 year old is just dying to go again. It just flys by so fast that we are going to take advantage of it.

No kidding! That commercial gets me every time too, and makes me even more excited to visit Disney with my own Prince Charming in April

I <3 that commercial. Why? Because my two little princesses have their daddy so wrapped around their fingers that when it comes on HE's the one wanting to plan another trip rather than it just being me. :rotfl:

So true....my oldest DD turns 18 this year and is graduating high school, my youngest DD will be 14 and entering high school. I sometimes feel like time is slipping away and that darn commercial gets me every time I see it. We're planning our next trip for Aug just before my oldest starts college. For all those with little ones...make the most of everyday...they grow up so fast.

I'm so glad I saw this post today. I've been pulling my hair out for the last couple days trying to find the best flights for a reasonable price for our March trip. I was so fed up last night, I didn't even want to go. You've reminded me why we do it! We weren't originally planning a WDW trip for 2012, but we decided we should go while we have the means and DD5 still wants to go. Before you know it she won't want to go to WDW and, eventually, she won't want to go on vacation with us at all.

Count me in! I emailed my wife the link just two days ago. Trying to tug on those heartstrings to get us back sooner.

Everytime I see the commercial I talk about adding another trip :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

So far I haven't been told no :thumbsup2

I know it sounds silly, but I feel like we should go as much as we can while we have APs and don't have kids. There's going to be a big span of time before we will be able to dine Signature again and do all the things we want at our pace. Just trying to live it up for now!

The one running here right now is of parents telling their kids they are going to WDW with the tagline "The magic starts as soon as you tell them" and it gets me every time.

The one the OP described had me in tears just from the description as we have 2 girls and that is why we have been doing everything we can to save enough to take them back - and we just booked to go this year :yay:

We might be living on beans on toast and working all the hours we can but it will be worth it to visit again one more time before they grow up forever

I have to say I'm listening to "Good Life" as I type this lol! It is an amazingly effective commercial. When we got back from our last trip, I saw it two or three days later and turned to my husband and said, "I want to go back!" Well, luckily hubby feels the same way and we just started planning our next trip for October of this year (third trip in three years and our third trip that falls on our anniversary! The Big 10 will be this year!). My in-laws went with us last year (I have a fabulous relationship with them, so it was a great trip!) and we're trying to get my parents to go with us this year - mom's health has taken a turn for the worse and she's been on a huge decline for two years, so this might be our last chance and she's always said she wants to go with us.

The commercial is right - there are only so many years to take them when they are young. My only regret is that we decided to wait so long - we wanted them to be able to remember their first trip. Although that did give us more of a chance to save so we went all out with a two-bedroom suite and three character dinners that year. We're more budget conscious with last years trip and this years, but I'm still so excited for it to be October already!

I am a total sap, this alone nearly made me cry.

I agree. Our oldest is turning 13 :scared1: next week and I can just feel the future creeping in... our ugly siding can wait...

Ha!! Same here!!

I totally agree with you.
