I love, love, love trivia and I especially love Walt Disney World Trivia. So I thought I would host a trivia thread.

Rules:
- Answer once, please do not edit your post, to be fair to those who answered correctly after you've posted.
- That's it, enjoy and have fun.

Prizes:
- Pride, bragging rights, and maybe I'll make a clippie.

I will post a new question every morning and evening, no promises though. I'll also come back to post the winner of each round.

So to kick it all off here is your first question:

In honor of the anniversary of the opening of the Frontierland Shooting Gallery today back in 1984, today's question is about an attraction that is also located in Frontierland.

Question:
On which date did Magic Kingdom's Country Bear Jamboree open and how many bears are included in the attraction?

Bonus Points:
On what dates did the same attraction open in Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland?

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Winners/Scores:
Mickey1122- 1 Point
Ryley26- 4 Points

There are 20 audio animatronics.
WDW-10/1/71
DL-3/4/72
Tokyo-????

Mickey1122, got the opening day for WDW correct.

Anyone know the other answers... DL opening, Tokoyo opening and how many Bears are in the WDW attraction?

ryley26 got the correct date for Tokoyo DL. Anyone know the opening of the attraction in Disneyland and the correct number of Bears in the WDW attraction?

Angels are you looking for bears or total 22 total 18 bears As you enter Grizzly Hall, get ready for close to 16 minutes of good ol' country music! You'll be entertained by 18 bears, a raccoon, a buffalo, a stag and a moose the likes of which you may never see again.

Sorry about that, I kept thinking 16 (there are technically 16 different bears, but a total of 18 animatronic bears) Since one of the bears appears in three locations.

Mickey gets a point for the correct opening day, Riley gets a point for the number of bears and 1 additional point for the bonus Tokyo opening date! :wizard:

The answer for the Disneyland opening was March 24th 1972!

To continue with the theme of Frontierland, here's the next question...

At it's opening on July 17th of 1992 Splash Mountain was billed as the World's Longest Flume Ride, with a 45 degree angle drop of 52 1/2 feet, how tall is the Splash Mountain Attraction (from ground level to tree top)?

Bonus Point: How many miles an hour are guest descending during the drop?
(Hint the rate is faster than the rocket's in Space Mountain)

Ding, Ding, Ding.... we have a winner! Congrats to Ryley who now has 4 points.

Today's question is about another Frointierland attraction, this time it's The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness and was at one point the tallest mountain in Florida at 100 feet above ground level. It's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Question: Seeing as the true way to measure a mountain is from sea level up, here's a tricky one, what is BTMR's actual true height?

Bonus Point: There are six trains that careen through her tracks, name one or more of these trains. Get all six for double bonus points. (Hint they all are in this form A.B. CDEFG)

PS: Ryley, I think this thread has become the Darlene and Riley trivia game, where is everyone else?

Not sure of the "sea level " height...is it 104'??

train names are

U.B. Bold
U.R. Daring
U.R. Courageous
I.M. Brave
I.B. Hearty
I.M. Fearless

Wild4Dis, you got all the train names correct. You earn 12 points!!

It's much higher than 104', it's closer to the height of EE at Animal Kingdom.

Remember The Magic Kingdom actually sits on the second story, so there's added height there as well.

Ryley26, almost it's 197' 6", true moutain height. Way to go! Another point for you.

Next question, same land, new attraction...

Question: This Steamboat began cruising the rivers of America on 11/29/1996 as the Liberty Belle, however it's hull sailed under a different name prior to 1996, what was the original hull's name?

Bonus Points: When was the original hull dedicated and for double points how much horse power does the current steam engine produce?

The boat currently known as the Liberty Belle was formerly known as the Richard F Irvine, named for a former Disney executive. It went into service May 20, 1973, but I'm not sure it was dedicated on that date.

Correct! You get 2 points!

Next question.... This time it's about The Haunted Mansion....

The Haunted Mansion holds the title as being the only attraction to be in different lands in each park it's featured in. Name each park and the land where you'll find this attraction in that particular park.

Bonus Points: The lady you see in the crystal ball is Madame Leota played by Leota Thomas (Thoombs), however the voice is not Thomas', who voiced Madame Leota and where in the ride can you hear Thomas' voice?
