Darkness

What time does it start to get dark in October in Florida? Trying to decide when we land and finally drive to the hotel, if it will be dark around 6pmish. Anyone know?

I think it will be dark at a guess. When we went in July 16th-30th it got dark at about 8.30 pm which was a lot earlier than in England so on that basis I would say it will be dark by 6 pm.

I seem to remember last October thinking it got dark really early, I'd estimate around 6 - 6:30 ish

Thanks. As its our first time going, was rather hoping that we wouldnt have to drive in the dark but it cant be helped.
