Dare I post Pool Hopping?

Is pool hopping allowed at the DL resorts? If you own a DVC at WDW there are some resorts you may swim at during certain times of year. I wondered if we may swim at the California Grand also?

No. Even if you are staying in one of the hotels--like Paradise Pier--you could not "hop" to the DLH or GCH. It's not like DVC.

at least a few years ago it was allowed. we were staying at the PPH, and went over and swam at the Neverland pool at DLH. There was a gate that required a room key to enter the pool area, and our PPH key worked fine. I don't think you can go to the themed pool at GCH though. We loved the neverland pool!!

If you want to swim at the GC, why don't you stay there?

No, that is not the case. Your key will be hotel specific to allow you into the pool/amenties areas for that hotel, not any of the DLR hotels.

Yep, I think the pool at the DLH is more kid friendly and really cool anyway

The pool is cool at DLH and you should check out the games arcade next to the pool. It was late when we were there but it is somewhere near Hook's Point. All hotel arcades are open to anyone it seems and they never have stopped me or my friends.

I know you cant use PP room keys to enter the GC pool area (we tried. I thought it was allowed).

We did get permission to hop at GC one day, though, because we were on a MAke a Wish trip. The GC pool has much nicer towels and chaise lounges, lol.
