I was glad I was able to attend the DAP2 event last Saturday nite.
I attended the event in 2009 at the Hollywood studios . . . and while I am
not a Harry Potter fan, I enjoyed getting acquainted with a few of the Podcast team members, meeting a few Dis'ers and meeting the formidable challenge of trying to capture some decent photographic images, given the environmental lighting challenges.
I am a big proponent of shooting under existing light and illumination, but I had to make the exception on some shots, because even at an ISO of 2000 and my aperture wide open and shutter speed at 1/60, using a 580 Speedlight and a light diffuser, the minimal environmental lighting and the overpowering darkness of nite will always win out, unless your willing to take the risk of shooting at a higher ISO setting and introducing noise into your photo, which I am not willing to do.
I did make the smart move of lugging my tripod with me, but after a while it becomes a albatross around your neck and the tradeoff being I could not participate on any of the thrill rides . . . but I was on a photographic mission : - )
Here we go . . . enjoy!
