Dansko Clogs questions...

Dansko recently changed the footbed so the fit is a bit different. One of the changes they made is to alleviate the possibility of rolling your ankle as some have said. I have done it and it hurts! :sad1:

Personally, though, I am not fond of the 'new Dansko' so my next pair will be Sanita Clogs...that is when my current dansko's wear out..I'm going on 4 years. As others have said, they are expensive, but when you consider you will never want to wear another pair of shoes and they last for years, they are likely more cost effective than a less expensive shoe.:cloud9:

I got my deal of the year last spring at Goodwill...found new Dansko clogs in my size for 20.00 whoopee! they are so comfortable, and stylish! I love them!

I wore Danskos for years, and loved them. And then I fell off them one day and broke my foot. Now I'm terrified to try again. But they are wonderful shoes and last for years.

OMG...so glad to know that I am not the only one who falls off her Dansko's. Sorry about your broken foot......

I have been wearing the same pair for almost 5 years now. I just rub mink oil on them once a year and they still look great. :thumbsup2

I have been a Dansko clog fan for years! They are so comfortable and last forever as others have said. Definitely worth their price!:thumbsup2

glad I saw this post since I have been on the fence about switching over from my running shoes for my 12 hour shift.. Now I wont- thats all I dont need is to fall over with that heel and break my ankle. Didnt think about that when I first tried them on..

Hey - 6pm.com has a bunch of Danskos marked down to $39.

This is even better than danskooutlet.com price wise - though the selection is smaller.

I got an email this morning from 6pm.com that Dansko's were on sale for $36.51! They are originally $115! I am ordering my clogs today! $6.95 shipping on everything, I believe. THAT IS A GREAT DEAL!

how is the arch support in these?? I have a High arh and PF(plantar faciaitius) and need something with a lot of arch support. The oly thing I have fornd to date other that athletic shoes are mepthisto cork footbed sandals. Birks don't work. The arch isn't high enough.

Ditto here. My PF was so bad I was only wearing fake crocs (the real crocs are too big for me). I can wear Birkies for maybe 4 hours before I am in pain. Dansko's I've just discovered this past month. Really supportive arch, comfy footbed. I even purchased a dressy pair w a thick rubber heel which I wore to a wedding last w/e. I didn't have to take them off!!!!! Well, till I got home. My feet were a bit achy but not excruciating pain. I had my croc flipflops in my bag but didn't need them. Give em a try. You can return them.
I now do not hesitate to purchase expensive shoes. I am worth it and they last.

I just wanted to say thanks for the links! I love Dansko and Sanita shoes, but they are way over my budget. I have two pairs that I have gotten at TJ Maxx (over the course of the last 10 years, not recently), but I think I might splurge on a new pair or two from one of those sights! Thanks again............P
