If a room only offer is released from August 15th on will you all be able to give us an early heads up?

Me too! As happy as I was for those getting free dining, I nearly cried when I saw my dates were not included. I am a teacher and i'm either going back on Aug 29th or Sept. 1st, whenever they decide on the new calendar.

DH and I are both teachers too and need to be back in CT by 8/26...hopefully we will see some kind of discount...I really just want a little notice so I know when I need to be ready to call

Work in a school as well and i need to back 5 days before teachers so we are Booked for aug 13 - 21st. I would prefer resort discount over FD so I am hoping they release some kind of room offer. If they don't, I would not have turned down FD if it was an option of course! I just really don't like the dining plan.

Thank you! We do appreciate the notice you wonderful people give us. It has been torture trying to figure out what we are going to do.... and to top it off, I have a friend who wants to come, but she won't say for sure if she is coming! It affects where my other friend and I want to stay!

I have a question for you i am planning a trip for 2014 and always go the last two weeks of August.... Should I keep planning on those dates and expect nothing and if something comes up great.... I always have gotten free dinning but it looks like it wont happen if they mirror this year or is the gap becuase of the conventions that you mentioned before?

Patiently watching as well......Already booked with no discount whatsoever but nonetheless, grateful to be going. I've been racking my brain trying to decide if I should bump my dates back earlier to get the 30% which ends on the 14th or just keep what I have.

On a funny/odd note, I was telling dh about what we all go through here on the disboards desperately searching for discounts and juggling dates and stressing. Amazingly, he had no idea what we all go through. Jokingly, he frequently says, "I'm just the bill payer, she makes all the arrangements!" I always consult him on the dates, so not exactly true. Anyway, the other day he says, "Do you always go through this? Let's just go when we want to, and don't worry about the discounts."

Who are you? And what have you done with dh????
