Lou Pinella as manager. I really wanted Joe Giradi. I don't like the "in your face" style of Pinella but maybe it is what the Cubs need. I guess I will just keep my fingers crossed that he is the right guy.

Lou Pinella will certainly be a different manager from Dusty! I'm eternally hoping we'll have better luck next year!

I hope Lou realizes that no manager or skipper of the Cubs has gone onto manage another team, once they have been fired by the Cubs. Look up the statistic and you will see what I'm talking about. Sports Illustrated once called the Chicago Cubs the "grave yard" for managers and I do hope that "Sweet Lou" (his nickname) can turn things around because Cubs fans are getting restless, especially since the Red Sox and White Sox have beaten their respective "curses". The Cubs have to do something drastic and "outside the box" to get that World Series trophy that Chicago Cub fans desperately want. It's getting past the point of being ridiculous of what the Cub fans have had to endure and this is comming from a St Louis Cardinal fan! Enough is Enough and I really hope Lou can get things done.
