$40 RT flights out of DSM to MCO... couldnt pass it up so we are having one last trip before school starts and bringing a friend for DD.

However now we cant get a value room and will have to either go to a mod or rent a car and stay offsite. I really was hoping to use ME becuase we get in so late.

May have to check into getting a hotel wiht a shuttle to the airport for 1st night then staying at a mod the rest of the trip.

Any other suggestions?

YES! I tried to book a value for the last 2 nights and was able to! Now I need to find a cheap hotel near MCO that has a shuttle to pick us up late Friday night and bring us back early Saturday AM to take ME to WDW!

Hotwire. Look for something with at least three stars and a shuttle. If you can find four stars with no shuttle and it's affordable, that's the Hyatt IN the airport - maybe worth the extra money.

Awesome...thank you!

Keep trying with Disney to get a value ( if they said they were booked before).

And from someone who learned the hard way.....book the room, then the flight! You can change/cancel rooms....you can't change anything with Allegiant! :headache:

However, when it all works out....it makes for a GREAT, INEXPENSIVE vacation!:lovestruc

Did you check Expedia, Travelocity, SW Vacations, etc? Sometimes they have rooms when Disney does not.

Did they switch over to MCO? I have been avoiding Allegiant as I thought I would have to rent a car from Stanford, I think that was the one.
Maybe I will have to take another look. Direct flights rule.

Some Allegiant flight fly into MCO. Some do not. Of course the flight I would take does not-still Sanford.

I second the Hotwire suggestion. Betterbidding can give you an idea of what hotel you are getting before you bid.

I just hate when there is great airfares and I have to go to Disney.:rotfl2:

I saw those great rates from DSM. Too bad we recently moved to San Antonio from Ft Dodge! :rotfl2:I have seen really great WDW hotel rates on Travelocity lately. Last I checked they had POFQ and CBR for $73/nt and values for $61. Good luck and have fun!!!
