Dancing With The Stars!

I truthfully think that Drew and Stacy were about equal in ability. I certainly didn't think that Jerry was anywhere close to them! This competition is truly a popularity contest.

Drew probably deserved to win the most. But Jerry had no previous dancing experience and he really did a lot in the short time they had on the show. Way to go, Jerry.

Color me HAPPYYYYY!! woohooo!!! go DREW and CHeryl! the rightful winners have won!!! but i must admit when Jerry beat out Stacey i did get a bit worried YIKES! but i was sooooooo happy!!

I am sooo thrilled of the outcome of the show this time!!! They got it right!!!

I too was shocked when Stacy got the boot. DD was jumping up and down and screaming YEEEEAAHHH!!!! I guess she just didn't have the fan base.

Stacy blew it Thursday night with her freestyle. It might have ended differently had they not had that 26. I think Thursday they really took for granted that the judges loved them and did a grade school routine. Jerry and Anna took it as a chance to really push themselves and it paid off. Stacy had a HUGE fan base, so I don't think that was the problem. JMO. :)

I was completely shocked when Jerry beat out Stacey!! But, I do believe that people watched how hard he worked and how he improved...I think it made a difference in the long run. I'm sure they both had huge fan bases, but those free style dances were a 'make or break' type thing. Jerry's was awsome and Stacy's was just 'okay'....with the possible exception of the final lift, I don't think she did anything that I couldn't have done, even with my limited dance ability! I'm just so happy that Drew and Cheryl won...they were terrific every week, and so gracious to everyone.

I was so excited the Drew and Cheryl won - they were my favorites from week 1!!!! I loved when Drew would scream and the jumping on the couch, he had me laughing. They were great together.

It was nice seeing the others dance last . . . . with the exception of Master P. I hope if Ashley competes next year they give her someone more dedicated, she is great and fun to watch.

DREW CREW!!!!

ITA! I love that he made it past Stacey. She is very talented but the thing I love about the show is seeing people GET BETTER. Stacey was great from the get go. I didn't see a lot of actual improvement from her. She was really good at the beginning and really good at the end. I think Drew improved too. To me it seems he came out of his shell by the end of the show. They really, really took risks where Stacey stayed in her comfort zone. I remember her saying she wanted to push the envelope but her partner didn't seem to want to do that. I really enjoyed this season. I think it was a lot better than the first. :goodvibes

I'm with you cruiserkaren! Stacy was good all the way through, and actually seemed to have reached her "peak" a few weeks ago and was on a decline. Drew was also good from the first show, but he improved and continually pushed the envelope and took risks. I thought the judges were a little hard on him that last dance not giving him a single 10, but I guess they were trying to make the competition closer.

I really like Jerry and he's so loveable and really improved. I'm happy he beat Stacy to show that people don't just want a gorgeous good dancer, but really respect the progress he's made and how he really represents the spirit of the show.

Yay for Drew and Cheryl! At the end of the season, two dances really stand out for me--his paso doble and freestyle; he owes a lot to Cheryl for her fantastic choreography that really showcased him well.

I am also hoping they bring Ashly back with a good partner next season. I adore her and would like to see what she can really bring to the table with a good partner.

So glad for Drew & Cheryl!!

This was a very good season. I think they really learned a lot from the first one. Hopefully the next one will be just as good.

The popularity thing came up in an interview last week - I think on Larry King Live - and Bruco agreed but said if it wasn't a popularity contest it would be on PBS. Quite witty of him, but truthful.

Bring on DWTS 3

I agree about the freestyle, that Stacy's was just "meh" while the others were fantastic. I think Jerry's fan base with the age group that watched the show/voted was much larger than Stacy's. I can't imagine that the fans of WWE watched the series all the way through and were faithful voters as much as people a little older that remember Jerry's carreer vividly.

Yeah for Drew and Cheryl!! :cheer2:

*Editing to add that DH watches WWE so no dig intended for those that do ;) and while he watches DWTS for a little bit w/me, he wouldn't vote if I paid him to! :teeth:

I agree with you Christine. :thumbsup2 Ashley is great, she literally had to "dance around" Master P-ukey while he just STOOD there like a bump on a frogs....oh, never mind. ;) Did you see Little-Bark-Bark in the audience? :crazy2: WHAT was HE doing there? He wasn't there when Master Puke was competing. :confused3

I enjoyed this show just as much as everyone else, but I thought the finale was l-o-n-g and drawn out.

After 1 1/2 hours, me and DH changed the channel and started watching again 5 min before it ended.

Too many recaps. I felt like if a viewer has that much to recap on, they don't deserve to know what happened :snooty: :)

SunshineOr--> totally agree about Drews 2 standout performances being the Paso Doble and his FreeStyle! woohoo! GREAT job!! I must admit those were the 2 standout performances of the whoooole competition!!! I did like when Stacey danced the Samba the first time too, that would be my 3rd stand out performance.

Alright let's think about Season 3..who would you like to see?

Kirk Cameron
Scott Baio (sp)
JOHN TRAVOLTA!!!! (i know he wouldn't do it, but i would like to see him!!)

I will not watch this show next season. Drew was good but Stacey was great. When Jerry beat her in the finals that told me this is not a dance show at all. It is about who can play the sympathy up to get the vote. I watched from the beginning and enjoyed every performance Stacey gave. She deserved to be in the final two. I don't care that Drew won but something was very wrong when Jerry came in second. If she had so much prior talent then the show should have not picked her. Stacey was robbed and I would really question the voting system. I started voting for Stacey after her name came up. I could not get one vote in all night! My mom tried also. She made a mistake of dialing Jerry's number and she got through on her first try. No more Dancing with the Stars for me! I wasted eight weeks on this.

I wonder about that too. Did you hear how long the crowd boo'd when Drew & Cheryl didn't get a single 10 on their last dance?

Do you think the judges already knew the popular vote results?

I do think Jerry probably improved the most, but if you ask me Stacey deserved to be in the top 2 with Drew. Maybe the judges wanted to give Stacey a final perfect score since they knew she was going next and they knew Drew didn't need it.
:confused3
