How to watch the finale.
Cable and satellite subscribers can watch on ABC (check your local listings for channel) and they will also be able to live-stream the show on ABC.go — but only in Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco.

For non-cable or satellite subscribers within those eight markets, you can sign up for a free 7-day trial of Sling TV which will provide a live stream to the season finale from ABC.

For those outside of those markets or without cable or satellite access, the episode will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.

Marybet, while Simone might have the most ability with her body... That does not make her the best dancer.
At this point, Normani is clearly the 'best dancer'.

And, the judges do sometimes offer up more 'criticism' to those with the most potential.

The bottom line is, this show is also about the voters. Likeability matters. Not just who is most 'precise'.

She is IMHO a better dancer than David & Rashad. I do agree that Normani is the best dancer. I don't enjoy David's dancing, he always looks like he is plodding around the dance floor in baseball cleats. Of course likeability matters but it can be manipulated by the producers. My little rant was mostly about how the judges can be more critical than they need to be. I think that Carrie Ann harps on emotions the same way she calls "lifts". I don't think Simone overused her gymnastic moves, Shawn Johnson did that. Laurie Hernandaz (sp) had very little gymnastic content last season.

The judges are the reason Simone is going home. They pick apart her every facial expression all the while telling us how entertaining David is. I for one am sick of not having the best dancers in the finale. Last week she was over criticized and she stood up for herself and now she gets called smug. I kept thinking back to Bristol Palin, who couldn't dance and never showed a real connection to any of the dances and the judges were much kinder to her.

You're right. The judges are the reason why Simone went home. I was annoyed that they looked so *shocked* when she went home because it was really all their fault. They were terrible to her last week and the "that comment showed spunk!" comment from Carrie Ann tonight was way too late. The votes had already been cast. It's one of the reasons I hate the current format where there is only one night of DWTS and the person who is already voted out dances. In the past we would not be able to see Simone dance as she did tonight. Then again, I don't think we would have seen her dance so freely if the judges didn't get snarky with her. It really lit a fire under Sasha who was relying on the "awesomely flexible gymnast" one trick pony.

I also totally get you on the Bristol Palin comparison. I'm a huge Cubs fan and I love Rossy but I was really feeling the same thing last week. I have always wanted the BEST dancer to win. Not the most popular. It pained me, but I split my votes between David and Normani last week because I thought she was the best dancer.

But tonight ... David Ross brought it this week. In the Cubs parlance:

I thought that he was genuinely good. Not just "most improved" or "warm the cockles of your heart better" ... but ...

... good.

Yeah, he's not the best dancer remaining. Yeah, the judges were shocked. They have to deal with it because it was their fault. I also did feel bad for David because he knows he's the weakest dancer left. He's enough of a competitor to not know where he stands.

ALSO ... remember ... Rossy may NOT have really been in the bottom two. The producers may have done that for drama. Many of us were pegging Rashad to go home tonight so he could have really been 3rd.

Kudos to Simone for a gracious and genuine farewell.

All my votes went to David Ross. He earned them tonight.

I watched David again tonight after the results were announced. He kind of hangs back because I'm sure in his head he thinks he should have been the one to go home. Same thing last week. He looks stunned that he made it once again. But he's getting all my votes every week. I get the feeling he was the last to dance so many weeks because he was keeping the number of viewers up. Everyone was watching to see David Ross dance. If he wasn't on the show this season I sure wouldn't be watching it.

Plus did you see the judges when tonight's result was announced? Head in their hands, shocked looks on their faces, moaning and groaning. They have to know that David is the reason the show is getting viewers this season.

Sure did see it and would love to score them on their "performance" . In the words of Stephanie (not Michelle) on Full House... "HOW RUDE!" I am very curious tho, if Carrie had not deducted for the "lift" of Lindsay's foot coming off the floor, would they have gotten a 10 from her? She gave them a 9

A brief look at their policy - it looks like US only.

My flight leaves at 7:30 a.m. and takes 7 hours. And I have at least an hour drive from Manchester, UK to where I'm going. Between checking in and the time adjustment... it's looking like a no.

I agree with all of this! I too, was annoyed with the judges reactions when Simone's name was announced. I have been saying for weeks, that they have nitpicked her endlessly. I would almost fall out of my chair that after they finished criticizing her, another team would dance, not be nearly as good, but get glowing praise. I give her credit for sticking with it and being so gracious tonight.
