Me too. I like Helio and I think he came a LONG way to win. That seems to mean a lot to the American public. That's OK. At least it wasn't Marie.

i like Helio, i think he's a great guy. and i really like Julianne....but i really think Mel and Maks should have won. they were the better out of the two couples. but honestly, last year was the only year the person i WANTED to win, actually won. at least two years in a row the person i wanted to win made it to the finals.

so we STILL have yet to see a woman win this show. i thought it would be this year, since a girl finally won SYTYCD. oh well, guess we'll have to wait until next season!

Yes, Mel really should have won. But, the main audience of the show is still women. Most women still tend to vote for the cute guy.

I think the women audience thing is key. Mel B. didn't have the personality to go with her technique. I was rooting for Jennie because she just seemed so real, though a bit neurotic. But Mel just didn't seem friendly and I think that turns people off.

I just watched all the freestyles of past winners (and Mario) on you tube, and nothing compares to Drew and Cheryl! I forgot how good that routine was. I really liked Julianne's and Apolo's routine last year, and of course, Mario is my favorite so I had to watch that (over and over!) But I would have been happy for Mel or Helio. I'm just really happy Marie didn't win.

on my local news channel i guess they said that TMZ is reporting that the Marie Osmond faint was a set-up, and it was all scripted and something about them wanting her to stay on so they'd get the "sympathy vote" for her.

My news channel was teasing something about it, but I didn't stay to watch. I'll have to check out TMZ now. I doubt the producers set that up to keep her on. But I don't know if I'd put it past such a shrewd entertainment family like the Osmonds. They may seem all wholesome and sweet, but they wouldn't have lasted this long in show business if they were.

Fake faint? That was the most insane thing I have ever read in my life. Sounds like someone on DWTS got paid to come up with a juicy story. The sad thing is some people will actually believe it.

I really couldn't pick between Mel and Helio. I thought Mel was great, I really liked her and enjoyed almost all her dances, but I also really enjoyed Helio and I was maybe leaning towards him a bit because he had no dance experience at all and really had come the farthest. In the end I was glad Helio won, but would have been happy if Mel won too.

I'm sad.

I knew it was coming, everyone just loves his smile. Don't get me wrong, I think Helio's a nice guy and all, he just wasn't the best dancer, or even close to it. Poor Mel and Maks, they looked really disappointed. I don't blame them. Too bad they aren't going on the tour, them I would pay to see!

*sigh* America gets it wrong again.
