Ok - I kind of zipped through to the results....what was the format change?

Instead of winding up with the two with the lowest scores, they just had three teams, not necessarily the three lowest scores. One of the three had the lowest score. Jane and Tony were the lowest. The others were Jenny and Derek and Helio and Julianne.

Since Marie's father died this morning, she wasn't on the show. And her partner didn't stand alone like Tony did when Jane was sick.

Do you think Marie was in the bottom two that's why they changed the format? Will they keep it like that or go back to usual next week? If they go back to usual, it would be clear the chage was made for Marie.

This hadn't occurred to me, but I bet thats exactly what happened.

I'm so glad Jane and Tony went home, she was great but her cha-cha was really lackluster.

I enjoyed seeing the cheetah prints for Sabrina, but my favorite was when Maks showed where his was *sigh* I'm in love with that man, lol. And he and Mel's Paso Doble was AWESOME!

With the "new format" I do believe you are right JoyG! That is exactly what I was thinking as soon as they said they will not announce a bottom two. They made sure to stress that "these two couples are not necessarily in the bottom two, but one of them does have the lowest combined total score." I think they knew that Marie and Jane were in the bottom two...that Jane was going to be voted off.....so they just decided to tell us Marie was safe....and change the format for tonight. I think they do stop announcing the bottom two at some point in the show though.....but not this early.

I was going to stop watching after Sabrina left but I'm glad I didn't. The dance commentary with Jerry Rice & Kenny Mayne was hysterical tonight.

I thought it was hysterical too! Much funnier than Jimmy Kimmell and the other guy (car parking attendant or something?).

I love when they do the Dance Center commentary. I thought it was a riot last year when they did it. I'm glad to see Jane leave and only because I couldn't stand another week of a skimpy costume on a woman of her age. Hello costume designers "have you ever heard of illusion fabric"?

I hope that he was able to see Marie dance last in homage to he and his wife. I thought she looked so cute in her WAC outfit and it was a nice story about how her parents had no money and had to dance make money.

Last night, Johnny (Marie's partner) said that her father did watch the show, and that it was a nice way for her to say goodbye to him.

I was going to stop watching after Sabrina left but I'm glad I didn't. The dance commentary with Jerry Rice & Kenny Mayne was hysterical tonight.

I agree - that was great! And, I love that they had the boxer (sorry, forgot his name) and Len -- I was cracking up.

For some reason that didn't bother me. She has a phenomenal body for a woman of ANY age. I thought she looked great!

Jane Seymour was on the view today dancing the quick step and she looked so good. She had on a dress that made her look young. She said that she lost 22 pounds doing the show. I wouldn't have thought she would have been able to lose that much weight and still be alive. I thought with the makeup she had on during DWTS she looked like she had just finished a scene from "Whatever happened to baby Jane." She didn't look like that today though.

Ok, there is a Jared commercial on with ballroom dancers. Is that Edyta and her husband in the commercial? It sure looks like them!

Holy cow! Did Jane even have 22 pounds to lose? That's amazing. Now that's a weight loss plan ... lose 22 pounds and get to hang out with Tony all week.

Wow, that is hard to imagine her losing that much weight.

I remember Mark Cuban talking about the weight loss on the show, and for whatever reason, I really noticed it on the week he got eliminated. He was still goofy, of course,but a much slimmer goof.

This season truly has been a shocker....every week.

I've always been a Marie Osmond fan...I know she's not the 'best' dancer - and probably won't win, but I do feel badly for her this week. With her father's death and Oprah, I'm sure it's going to be very difficult to prepare two dances for Monday night! I'd hate to see her go this week after everything she's been through.

I've always been a Marie Osmond fan...I know she's not the 'best' dancer - and probably won't win, but I do feel badly for her this week. With her father's death and Oprah, I'm sure it's going to be very difficult to prepare two dances for Monday night! I'd hate to see her go this week after everything she's been through.

Yeah. She probably thought that she'd be gone by now when they planned to go on Oprah.

I do have my vcr set to record today so I can watch it tonight.

Hmm.... I just read an article about Jane Seymour on how she stays looking so young. (It was in People or TVGuide) She mentions that she got very small implants after she finished breastfeeding the boys; she also had surgery to remove bags around her eyes. She had botox once - didn't like it. She says she hired a trainer and started working out when she knew she was going to be on the show and lost 20 pounds then. Do you really think she has lost 20 more pounds? She mentions, in the article, that she is now trying to keep from losing any more (this was before she was voted off). I didn't think it looked like she had changed at all during the competition so I am more inclined to go with she lost it FOR the show.
