Dancing with the Stars - it's back!!

Okay...if you meant Joey and Edyta...well...according to the show, he is married, but if you really meant Mario and his partner...forget her name, then uh, yeah :wave2: this girl agrees with you and has for quite some time.

And you are so right...all that romance...I really think though that there just might be something between Willa and Max...

I hadn't given that a thought...maybe they will bring her back since Sara has withdrawn...hum? :confused3

JOEY is married??? NO! I'm thinking beard!

But, yes, I did mean Mario - who does he dance with? I can see her, but clearly got her name wrong.

Really, I figured Joey and Mario were dating!

Okay...you just confirmed I am not crazy cause when they showed Joey with his wife and baby last week...I was like uh, what? :confused3

Okay -- so this is where you've been hanging out, Viki. I just pmed you 'cause I was worrying about you. YIKES --you poor thing; the only good thing about oral surgery is the drugs you get afterwards.

Geesh, 90 minutes! Good thing I'm not drinking frozen drinks! My blender would have a heart attack!

It was a good night of dancing. I'm torn. I like all the ones who are left standing, recognizing that Jerry is the comic relief, Monique is one tough cookie, Emmit is the sleeper, Joey is the challenger, and Mario is the KING.

So, in addition to all of that, I'm walking through Borders today and what do I hear from a salesperson but, "When will everyone please remember that Mario cheated on his wife on his honeymoon?"

Say it ain't so!!!!!!!!!!!!! Say, at least, that he didn't cheat with a woman!!!!!!!

All I can say about this show is...

Oh, Viki, after I read your post I had to google Mr. Mario and the first site to pop up is mariolopez.net, which is apparently his own site. So I click on biography...and what does it say in the first paragraph.... :confused3

"Handsome and charismatic, Mario Lopez brings the man's view every woman wants to know more about to NBC Enterprise and Syndication's "The Other Half." "There's three things men always talk about - women, sports, and cars," Mario explains. "I love talking about women because they are a constant study and you're always learning."

:rolleyes1 What could Mr. Mario mean by this???

Yes, people, inquiring minds wanna know... :listen:

Ok, I love this show, but I have a question for anyone out there who is really into Ballroom dancing.

I have seen Ballroom dancing on PBS for years. Is Dancing with the Stars a little more "themed" to grab the attention of American television viewers? It seems like on the ABC show there is different costuming and music choices than on the regular competitions on PBS. Or is this just a different version or category of Ballroom dancing? I love the fact that they can use country and broadway music, different costumes and such. Just curious, is this a new thing for the ballroom dancing communtity, or just something cooked up by ABC to get all of us regular folks interisted in the show?

One more thing, "Dancing with the Stars" is going on tour. I looked up the dates, and the closest thing to Orlando is Tampa.

Anyone else thinking "Atlantic Dance Hall"?

Why doesn't Disney/ABC open some sort of club/attraction/show on Thursday-Saturday evenings at Atlantic Dance? Am I the only one thinking this?

OrlandoMike...I've been asking myself the same thing...what is up with all the music and those glitzy costumes? When I've watched ballroom dance competitions the women's gowns are so much more elegant. It was just too weird to watch the pros dance last night to Billie Jean.

Oh, wouldn't that be nice...go watch some dancing with the stars at Atlantic Dance Hall? I need to check the closest city to my home.

I was kinda surprised that Jerry was voted out last night...I know his dancing hasn't been up to the quality of the others, but I really thought he had a big enough fan base that he might get to stay. Now, I guess we'll see if Monique can keep up with the boys.

I think the only reason Jerry is still on the show is that the show needs a superstar to sell it. I think it is rediculous.

Oooooh, I hope all the kiddies, 200-some, have made their way through our development by 8 PM! :cheer2:

That is why I love my Tivo!!! I'm working this semester on Tuesday nights so I'd have missed it every week without my Tivo.

I hear you - only in our house our 17-year old son has the only TIVO - we mere mortals have to work our lives around our viewing schedules! :rotfl2:

You need this... :grouphug:

When DH and I married, DS (from my first marriage) was only 8, so we didn't think he needed a satellite in his bedroom, so one was in the living room and the other in the master bedroom. Then, about a month before DS turned 12, the testosterone god must have smacked him upside the head cause the boy was in the living room all the time watching all kinds of sports including the World Series from the 80s, billards, hockey, basketball, whatever sports was on TV. So, for his 12th birthday we gave him a Tivo receiver of his own and I got my sanity and my Tivo back. :cheer2: Now we all have one to record our favs.

Mario is adorable, very cute, he can dance, but he thinks too much. I really enjoy that show. Im so sorry its over now though. I cant wait for next season.
