I so enjoyed the banter and reviews we had at the beginning of the year when Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) aired in January. :dance3:

A new season started this week. Anyone else watch? It was FUN!!!

I think Tucker Carlson was the least interesting dancer this week. Joey Lawrence (okay I'm biased, he's HOT!) did quite well. I also thought that Vivica and Willia did well. Surprise, surprise, Jerry Springer is not all that bad. Who knew? :confused3

Anyone else want to spend the next several months reviewing, critiquing and lamenting about Dancing with the Stars?

I agree....Joey and Mario were great.... :thumbsup2 Emmitt was quite a surprise.... :cool1: They will keep Jerry in there a while...just to make it interesting... :teeth: I couldn't believe how "stiff" Harry was....

*sigh* Mario Lopez  He can swing those hips my way any day!

Joey Lawrence did an OK job. He looks a little crazy with the shaved head tho :crazy2:

OOh, thanks for starting this thread.

We were on a vacation in VA so I wasn't as focussed as I might be, but my general impressions were:

Joey was super!

Mario was awesome!

Vivica was hot!

Emmet was so smoooooothhhhh! (Son of a Preacher Man!!!)

Jerry was NOT that bad.

I'm not surprised Tucker was voted off this week. Compared to others he just didn't do very well.

While this sounds shallow, I think what he wore was a big part of it. He may have trained hard but that pant/shirt option gave me the impression he just didn't care.

On a different note, why does Samantha Harris always sound like she's announcing for a beauty pageant? Uuup neext... the swiiimsuit compETion. Weee'll be BACK affter this messAGE frooom ROSE MILK!

I think they should axwe Samantha and have Lisa Rinna replace her. Lisa is just so passionate about it when she talks now.

Well guys this will be my last post as we leave today for WDW then the 11 night Disney cruise! Kevin and Randall-sorry you can't make it!

Take care all!

Have a magical time!!!

And I agree - axe Samantha and bring on Lisa - who is, btw, the only reason I hope Harry lasts a few weeks!

OK, we're two dancers into week two and we were just treated to the sight of Mario and Joe(y) holding hands and looking oh, so friendly back stage! How about the two of them dance their way into our hearts!!!

Joey was smokin' tonight! He and his partner (can't remember her name) were mesmerizing. All those steps done so fast. Wow. All the ladies looked hot, especially Willa, but Vivica was Sexxyyy! Emmett continues to surprise me, so smooth.

I enjoyed Mario's performance, but I have to agree that it didn't completely follow the "quick-step" requirements. Although, I have to admit the quick-step didn't seem all that quick.

The best performance was Vivica or Joey. I'm surprised how poor Harry Hamlin is, considering I loved his wife last year. The most interesting dancer in my opinion -- Loius Van Amstel. What is up with his hair? He dyed it dark to be all latin. Didn't like it at all.

Wow, how catty am I?!?!

It looked to me that Mario's lack of focus was showing. His energy seemed to waffle between the parts he liked and those he didn't. It really wasn't as good a performance as the first week. I thought the judges were justified. I like how they are being tougher and expecting more from the celebrities, espcially since they had more training time.

Oh damn! I forgot to vote! :confused3

Don't remember where I read or heard this, but I want to say that Mario actually has ADD or ADHD...probably read it in one of those grocery store magazines, but I do see that it could be possible for him.

I was really disappointed in his performance this week...just didn't seem like a quick step to me, but then again...I can't even dance a simple waltz without DH having to correct me. :rolleyes1

This is the first season that I've actually caught it from Week 1 and it's been very enjoyable. I've been really impressed with Emmett...he just looks like he's having such a good time and natural...relaxed. Shanna...well, I can see how her lack of self confidence really came across and caused her to go this week...she has potential, but she just hadn't really started to believe in herself enough. Harry...well, Lisa must love that guy! I actually enjoyed Jerry Springer's dance better...at least he wasn't stiff like Harry.

I think we'll see some interesting stuff next week with the tango...till then :dance3:

Dancing with the Stars is on TONIGHT.

We will TiVo it and watch it in the morning. We haven't watched any live TV in at least 6 years. :happytv:

Looking forward to seeing who does what!

We're watching and I even voted online for the first time (for Willa, only because no one else is). Of course we are also switching back and forth to the Phillies game.

I voted for the first time tonight, too. Used all my votes for Willa. She is so good and hot. . . er.. talented.

I am so glad that the judges tore into those couples who ignored the rules. What a lack of respect for the competition and the judges. I mean, it is good to give the audience some entertainment but not at the expense of the program's integrity. Mario and Joe dance so well without the grandstanding. I wonder if they will continue to ignore the judges and if so will they be ejected?

Oh I didn't know that Mario was ADHD. That would make practices really difficult.

Poor Harry. Wait... He did deserve to go. Considering his wife was an excellent dancer he was like watching balsa wood with feet. I would have thought he would have gotten more relaxed.

I'm pleased the judges are scolding the teams for not following the rules. What they may need to do is really penalize them in the score. "Would have been a 10, but I give them an 8." Ouch, what a slap on the wrist. Maybe the last 6 weeks those 2 points may make a difference but right now, Jerry will still score lower.

I'm still rooting for Joey - er, Joe. Visually so pleasant to look at. Good dancer too!
