I voted online and by phone for Drew and Frankie. I've never voted by phone before. This is serious business!

She wasn’t bad. I thought she was actually quite good. I just didn’t like her.

I didn't think she was bad either, I just felt that Drew and Frankie were better. They've also haven't really mentioned Frankie's back injury lately. Surprising for a show that loves the sympathy angle

Frankie doesn't need the sympathy vote. His effervescence and ability to jump in with such enthusiasm with whatever is thrown to him, gets him his votes.

they also mentioned tonight that he tore his meniscus weeks before the show started.

He has the steady improvement and sheer joy of the journey that is supposed to be at the heart of this show. He deserves to be in the finals and win it all.

I really expected Drew to go home tonight but glad he didn't. As long as he doesn't kill Emma before the end of the show. They said "going to the finals", so are all four couples in the finals?

We were discussing that crack when Emma hit the floor. DH thought it was her hand, but I thought it was her head!

Not Frankie's best night, but he did nail the moves he was most worried about. Witney didn't pull off the sliding split but if she already hurt herself trying to do it... Julianne was pretty awesome in that dance.

Totally agree, Mark and Lindsey did not compare to Maks and Meryl. But Jordan and Lindsay sure tore it up.

Did anyone see that Hayley was one of the four "guys in kilts" during Drew's first number? Then there were four actual guys in the skybox. Not sure what was going on there.

There is always a large portion of people who vote for the best dancer, as this is a dance competition. Doesn't matter if the contestant came in already knowing how to dance really well. That's Jordan.

Mark has a HUGE fan base. And Lindsey is likable. So she will get the musicians votes and the boho/artsy votes.

Drew has all the HGTV votes. The twin votes. And even though the judges panned him last week, he had more votes than Victoria. :thumbsup2

As you said, Frankie has the most improved and and sheer joy of the journey. :lovestruc

This Final could go in any direction. I don't think we've ever had one like this before. :yay:

One goes home Monday nite. Then the final 3 dance it out on Tues.

It's a good thing this is ending next week. Too many people getting injured. There'd be no one left if this kept going for a few more weeks. :headache:

I thought it was her head too, but she said she didn't hit her head. So it must have been her hand. She probably is supposed to hold it lower, so she knows if her head is going to hit, as the hand would hit first and maybe raise her head? :confused3

I'm afraid Drew and Frankie are drawing from the same fan base. The people who always vote for the underdogs. And, if that's the case, Drew might pass up Frankie with his additional HGTV fans. The one is a true nail-biter. And, honestly, I'm too tired to fight it anymore. I'm ok with all of them at this point.

I watched their FB interview on the red carpet after the show. Her hands were all torn up. She used them as a guide for the stunt so she would know if she needed to adjust her head at any point. Scary.

:scared: They should have gotten her gloves and a spotter who could tell Drew to lift her 2 inches higher or whatever. :headache:

Ok, here's something that bothered me more than the dangerous trick. Emma has been going going somewhere snowy with Drew so he can film his show. Canada maybe. They practice until like 1 am, then Emma drives herself to the hotel, alone in the snow. She did an Instagram story where she was sitting in the car, didn't want to get out into the snow to walk into the hotel. I know they are just partners, but Drew should make sure she gets back to the hotel ok! (Emma would probably be offended if she read this.)

Yes, Drew should do something, like call the hotel and have one of the doormen waiting for her to escort her to the door. :headache:

But, in his defense, most men aren't really aware of how physically vulnerable women feel, until it's pointed out to them. Especially someone 6'4". He might think that way with his fiance. But, for other women in general, it's probably not on his mind. Security expert, Gavin de Becker, talks about it a lot. He said, "At core, men's greatest fear is being laughed at or humiliated, while women fear being raped or murdered." It shows the disparity of how our sizes & strength change where our focus goes.

I think Drew would probably be mortified if it was pointed out to him that Emma was that afraid going home, and that HE hadn't thought about it. :( He doesn't seem like the self-centered type to me who doesn't think about other people. More of an awkward type, where the thought hadn't occurred to him, but he'd do something once he knows.

Well, the impression I got was more of a Holiday Inn Express type place, so probably no doorman. And it may have been getting out in the snow more than fear. It didn't look like she had much of a jacket, typical Californian. Still, it was very late and it didn't seem like anyone was around.

Here's another thing last night had me thinking about, wanted to see what others think. DWTS has a history of steamy dances, often with spouses, fiancees etc, sitting right in the first or second row. I'm thinking about Gilles with Cheryl, or any of Karina's partners. :smooth:

Seems that lately it's all very PG, like the pros are being conservative. I mean, a
"friendly" Argentine Tango, to a song about brothers? Big disconnect there, to me. I can see being careful with minors, like many of Val's partners, but when it's part of the dance there should be steam.

Any thoughts?
