...since I was younger!

Although the web site says "School Dances Sure Have Changed" I do believe this is a birthday party and not a school dance.

:::Warning::: Some of the dance moves are extremely suggestive and performed by young children...

http://www.thatvideosite.com/video/school_dances_sure_have_changed

I was just wondering what you would do if you saw your child dirty dancing like this at a party or anywhere for that matter? I wonder where they learned this type of dancing?

Personally I was so shocked that I was laughing. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and I couldn't believe more that the parent's were cheering them on. :sad2:

If I say that's extremely inappropriate, does that mean I'm just looking at innocent children who don't REALLY know what they're doing and *I* must be a pervert? They ARE, after all, wearing much more clothes than people wear at the beach. :confused3 And it's just a birthday party. And it shouldn't have been posted on the Internet; if it wasn't posted on the Internet, no one would be talking about it. Did I cover all the arguments?

Where are they learning this? I'm guessing from those adults who were correcting them on their technique, and judging them, from what I saw (which wasn't much, because I find sexual exploitation of children rather disgusting).

My first and last post on this thread!

Ok, they do seem very young. Ick. I had to turn it off.

However, I have to say that when I was in middle school/early high school, I remember dirty dancing - like from the movie. It was actually about the time the movie came out, so I guess that's why we were doing it. So we've always dirty danced, but they sure are getting younger!

It is very inappropriate, I completely agree with you. I also wonder where they learned to dance like this?

The reason why I posted this was because a couple of weeks ago there was a thread about the 7-9 year olds doing a dance to "Single Ladies" at a dance competition. This was no competition. In that thread, people were disgusted by the dancing (I didn't think some of it was appropriate either) so I was just wondering what other posters thought about this. Is it better that the parent's were there to condone it or does that make it worse?

I'm sorry if this offended you in any way. That is why I put a warning above the link. I too think it's disgusting to have children that age dancing the way they were dancing.

I'm someone who wasn't terribly offended by that single ladies video and this is why...the video you just posted the link to wasn't dancing. They are acting out a sexual act. Period. Music was simply playing in the background, I suppose like *mood* music. IMHO those were two VERY different videos. This one blew my mind with how inappropriate it was. What's wrong with those adults? Geez louise.........

Me either. I was actually impressed by those girls' dancing. But the outfits could have had more fabric. :lmao:

I wasn't offended by the Single Ladies video (for the most part) either but you are right, this ISN'T dancing - least not the type of dancing that should be done by young children. What ever happened to just jumping and bouncing around as a form of dance? And what the adults did - or should I say didn't do - makes it worse.

The fact that there were both sexes doing this dance..........well......gosh, I mean what the heck?

MaryAnn! I love you!!! You have just cracked me up beyond belief. You're wonderful!

I forgot to add that while MaryAnn is too funny covering all the bases, that video was beyond disgusting and a little bit (a lot a bit really) infuriating to see kids being taught those moves. What kinds of adults would be okay with that???

WTH?!?!?!

What country is this in?? Is this in the United States?

I swear, there really needs to be a test in order to be a parent.....

Yes, you perv! How dare you see a sexual act in what those innocent children are doing! They're just having fun.

Wait, one more. Cultural differences. That's it. Cultural differences. ;)

They go further in that video than Patrick Swayze went in Dirty Dancing.

Wow, I was expecting teenagers/young adults. Those are little kids! Shouldn't they still be playing with barbies and race cars? What's happening in this world?

I couldn't even watch the whole thing! :scared1::eek::sick::sick:

That about sums it up how I feel!

:scared1: i don't even think "suggestive" is the right word to use, because i was expecting something not quite so bad....THAT WAS BAD!! omg!!

kids learn about this dancing from tv and movies, by the way. it's even on commercials. but for the parents to just sit there and let that happen and to video tape it.....acting as if it's funny and ok.....i can't even.......

Could only watch a few seconds, but seeing the parent, it's not surprising. Didn't notice if there were any fathers but I kind of doubt it.
