Thanks. DD And I got to see you and I'll talk about it last week. It was so amazing. We had just come from breakfast. Dd had walked out to the barn area so we could take the rest of her senior pictures. She says, "mom I seecoming out of the butt.' I go 'huh'.

She was the first one to see it, the first one to pick it up, and she got to weigh it. She named it Lehigh.

Maybe once I get a better job the owner let me buy it for her.

Mean Queen -- I'm curious, as an AP holder and someone who visits frequently, do you keep the same band (not "forever" per se, but for as long as it lasts)? Bummer there was no purple. That's what I was going to get. But I guess since I plan on getting the Haunted Mansion wallpaper sleeve for mine, it really doesn't matter what color I end up with! .

As of right now, I'm getting a new band each time. I'm not sure what the final will be. In my Disney account online, I can activate any of the bands in my list which makes me think you can order different colors then activate the one you plan to use that trip.

Aww!! How cool would that be?! I wonder if he'd let you do a payment arrangement or work something out, since you know them and your DD has been so involved there.

Good early morning nanners! Race day for me (half-). I woke up to the sound of rain pounding on the roof.... Checked the radar -- it's scattered and should be mostly pulling out by the 9am start time. I'm bringing extra socks for the drive home, though!

So we're in a tornado watch... ugh.. I can tell, cuz I think the pressure changes give me headaches... feeling like I just need to put my head down.

So... I can see this magic band thing as another way that Disney will make money.. by selling the cool designs in their gift shops.... the basic colors will just be basic.. but if you want a princess one, or a Jack Sparrow, or Phinneus and Ferb one... then you can buy them in the gift shops.

We're in a severe t-storm warning (raining very hard and lots of wind out there right now). It was an unusually warm day, though! A tad muggy....

Yes, Disney is a marketing genius and there is nothing that gets past them in terms of another way to make a buck. I've been reading a book called "Disney War", which is pretty much about the Michael Eisner years, but it's all about the business aspect of the Disney company. VERY interesting read!! Big book but well worth it for Disneyphiles.

And yes, re: the Magic Bands, I am seeing all sorts of "panic" posts from people who are just aghast that Disney can now track their every move.... Uh, the Internet tracks your every move!! Disney is using the MBs in a "tracking" sense to see what guests are buying (and where), eating, and generally how they are spending their time in the World. I don't really think this is something new; the KTTW cards basically did the same thing, now you are wearing your "card" instead of carrying a piece of plastic.

Good morning. Happy Friday. I worked this morning and go back later until around 6pm.

I had an ultrasound on my side around my ovary yesterday. Waiting for results. Between my side and my back, I've had too much pain lately. Driving is a killer.

Exactly! People just like to panic about anything new and "scary." I really think the bands will be great once it's all worked out.
