I am up early. I've been up since 430am, couldn't go back to sleep. Not sure if my brain is in overdrive, I'm missing my mom, or a combination of the two.

First communion was yesterday and went very well! I was so proud of Nemo. He is such a good kid and did so well. And the party afterwards was smooth sailing all the way! My husband and I have worked a really good system for when we entertain. I do a lot of running, but everyone had a great time, and that's what matters to me.

Then about 930 last night I collapsed on the couch with a glass of wine. It was lovely.

Yeah. There was an article in the papers here where it was saying Mother's Day sucked for a lot of people without moms or with bad feelings towards their moms. It is one of those bitter sweet things.

Glad that Nemo did good yesterday. Hope you get to rest up today....with more wine.

I spent 30 minutes just now doing some sit ups and stretches in my living room. Seemed to be a better idea than being a couch potato whilst watching the TV. Now, I'm not so sure!

Sorry you couldn't sleep. Mother's Day can be rough after you lose your mom, very bittersweet. The sweet being our kids of course.

Everything went very well and I got some wonderful pictures of everyone in attendance. I don't think I've ever mentioned, but since my mother passed, there's a sad lack of pictures of our family. I am usually too busy hosting / doing to stop and take photos. Nemo's first communion was the first time in three years that I made a point of it, and I am so glad I did. Never mind that I got to enjoy the new camera Santa brought me (one shot was pretty much all I needed!), I got pictures of my beloved family and friends.

Hello everyone. The trees are full of leaves and it's finally green here. We had 3 nights of 30's again, but it should be over now. Oh and my mother and I have managed not to kill each other.

We had a super cool night (frost worthy) last night, and today it's 80. Welcome to New England.

Looking forward to a weekend of "nothing." Nemo has a soccer game on Saturday, but other than that it's smooth sailing compared to the hubbub of last weekend.

It was 30 the other morning. My brother has been covering his new plants and I've been going over in the morning to uncovering them. Ahhhh a quiet weekend will be great for you.
