Ha... glad you reminded me.. this was bugging me... so I took it a step farther and I e-mailed the corporate offices for the center. (it's a national chain),,, in anyevent.. GUESS WHAT,,,, They do NOT have an official ban on super heros.... (it's just something my center decided to ban on their own...) so guess who made some trouble for them... and guess who brought in a super hero for share day the next day...

DH did just book my birthday weekend, Sept. 27-29 at the Beach Club! So maybe we can meet up during a drunken stumble around the F&WF.

Thank you. To make the story even 'better'..... my daughter makes very little at her job and she has been bleeding us dry. We recently put $2000 on our credit card to rebuild her transmission, put in new rocker panels and other parts needed for inspection. Grrrrrr We do not use our credit cards often. They are more for an emergency or things like unexpected card repair. We would have a zero balance if it wasn't for her truck. Now we get the joy of paying for these parts after the truck has been totalled.

I'm sorry her car has been such a drain on you. Is she at a bad job or just starting out?

Oh.. just rub it in.... wishing we were closer... I just spent an hour talking to a co-worker who just returned from a wedding in Florida and a mini trip to Disney... I have the urge so bad.. and major withdrawls.. It's been over a year since I was in Florida.


I keep telling my DD that she needs to find a swim meet in florida and get a Q-time so we HAVE to go.. my DH couldn't say no if she earned it. My DD is actually on her way to a district meet this afternoon. she is the only Freshman from her team to make it.. and actually only one of 4 girls... she qualified in an individual event... so it;s a big deal. Ive been told that when shes a junior thats when the colleges will start approaching her at these big district meets. next weekend is Junior Olympics.. it will be her last year for that since it only goes up to age 14. the weekend beofe Easter is a Senior champs meet that's another USA meet that you need to have Q-times for. I'm just happy she made it to Districts. she's not seeded that high, so I don't expect her to move on the States, but since she's just a Freshman, that's ok, she has time. proud mama.

I think that's a great idea. And good for your DD on making the team!

So, Southwest is releasing its schedule through Nov 1st starting on Monday! Can't wait to start REALLY planning our trip.

I got flights from LA to Phoenix on this weekend's SW deal. $59 one way; with 2 checked bags for free.

I just need to work out how to get from Durango to Orlando and I should be pretty set.

I won't mention that I also need to work out Orlando back to LA; but then there are worse things than being stuck with Harry and the Mouse.

I am hoping I'll be so lucky when they release fares tomorrow. But at least I've got some time to figure stuff out and watch them obsessively for weeks on end, swooping in for the kill at the best possible moment!

I love SouthWest... can't beat no baggage fees...


I just have to say.. I am a little ticked today... I had an appointment to get a medical done for upping my life insurance... it was supposed to be at noon, and I had to fast for 12 hours.. No big deal.. but they never showed up.. How long are you supposed to wait... now I've got to reschedule... what a pain.


Update on my dd swim on Friday... she did so much better than anyone expected.. she dropped nearly three seconds.. a personal best time, and dropped 21 places.
