....now, if you can just help me locate a nearby shelter where I can drop off some hot food....I'd really like to make a couple of trays of ziti and donate it but I don't where to take them here in no New Jersey....

The Red Cross is doing a lot of mobile feeding stations all across NJ/NY, so you may want to give them a call. I just Google'd (I love that that's a verb LOL) shelters for Moonachie flood victims and found THIS article, which had shelter info.

I also found THIS shelter info. (dated as of yesterday morning) for Morris County. Not sure how close/far these places are, but hope it helps!

....my DS was oroking at BCC at the shelter, but they left because the power went down. That's why my youngest DS doesn't have school there today...

Up here, we're about 25-40 minutes from the hardest hit parts of RI and they're providing links on the news for places to go with sign-up sheets for help. I know giving $$ is the most helpful thing you can give, and I will, but it will be limited and I like to give of myself too, y'know? Like you and the ziti.

Watching the news is killing me! All the devastation and all the reports surrounding the marathon. For all those who are in need just seeing all the water and food sitting out and they can't have anything!

As much as I like a good race, I think that was for the best. I couldn't imagine running through all of that and taking up hotel rooms that right now could be used for a family that has no roof over their head.

Morning nanners!

I'm psyching myself up to get out and go for a run. Only it's COLD out there!! Brr... I know where some of my thermal stuff is but I definitely need to find or get more! With the clock change it'll be getting dark too soon for me to be able to run after work, so I need to start going in the mornings or limit myself to the weekends. Today I need to go early because the out-laws are coming this afternoon to see the new digs.
