Your temps have already dropped that much? We are in the low 80s here but there is that nice crisp feeling that lets you know fall is around the corner.

The high in southwest NH today was about 67. Dipping into the upper 30s to mid-40s at night! Autumn has indeed arrived.

Yup. We have had 40's at night. The other morning my brother took a pic of a skim of ice over some shallow water in the town where he was working. At least I didn't have that at my house.

I can see fall is coming to Florida because I walked outside today at Noon and was not hit by a big blanket of humidity and heat.

Someone at work today commented that supposedly we're looking at record "leaf-peepers" this year. Which we found odd, mostly due to gas prices, but also apparently these poor souls didn't do their homework. The foliage stinks this year due to the drought!! There is some very scattered bright color in the swamp Maples, but that is IT. Everything else is either just turning yellowy-brown, or any color that shows is faded and dull. Oh well...!

Happy Saturday everyone! I am taking DD6 to see the Imagination Movers in concert today. Then I'm meeting some friends to celebrate my upcoming birthday at the Melting Pot (I must spend at least a week celebrating my birth.) DD13 is going to Busch Gardens with friends, if the weather holds out. So a good start to the weekend.

Fall does appear to be coming since our pool is now at a slightly chilly 79 instead of the perfect 86 it has been. Has anyone ever used those solar panels that look like the sunshields in a car? I am thinking of buying those to put on the pool to give us a little more swim time. Otherwise, we're all piling into the hot tub. Not so relaxing with splashing children.

We had a pool with solar panels, and to me it just never seemed to keep the water warm. I was always freezing.

My sister and brother in law have solar panels on the roof of their house for the pool and hot tub. And they work great. I can vouch for this personally.

Yes everything was working correctly, I had some one check, I no longer have a pool. But oh well, they just did work for me. I guess they just didn't like me.

My sisters actually gets to warm if they aren't careful. But she loves her pool.
