I survived. You will to. Mine are now pretty awesome adults.

That gives me hope. I just want her to drop her surly attitude.

It sounds like a standard teen thing. At least it didn't hamper your eating.

Few things could hamper my eating. Or drinking.

As sucky as it was, be thankful that's all you're dealing with. The poop is really flying around my house lately. It's really hard to see a kid you have raised the best you know how, and love with all your heart, make one bad choice after another and just not "get" it.

Anywho, that's neat you got to try all those new foods! I'd love to do F&W someday (when it's just me and DH!).

I still have a few years of the teens to go, then another few years with the next. I'm very happy I only have two.

Driving is down right painful, but sitting is pretty bad as well. It doesn't help that I am small and don't fit most furniture. I added a 2nd pillow with my back pillow at my computer chair right now and that is supporting my lower back better. I do go for walks and do exercises/stretches for my back. I walk slower which drives me crazy b/c I am normally a fast walker. Slow annoys me.

My left hip is not quite in place. I was hoping it would go back on it's own, but I may need OMT. My crappy yet expensive insurance pays almost none of OMT so I was trying to avoid it.

Morning everyone! Just a quick check-in. Hope you're all doing fine! Any plans for this weekend? None here. Some shopping type errands later. This morning I'm DISing and listening to Mouse World Radio and will shortly be doing some scrap book pages.

Not much planned this weekend which is nice. But I'm sure we'll have it packed before the day is over. I'm already considering the Saturday Morning Market, Sam's Club, then maybe having friends over to hang out by the pool and hit the hot tub (yes, 70's means hot tub weather.)

ITA. I'm a wimpy swimmer, meaning it has to be HOT for me to want to get in pool/ocean/lake water. I generally don't swim up here in the northeast. So if it's in the 70s, heck yeah I'd hop in the hot tub!! Enjoy!

I will be doing nothing. Let me complain a bit about doing nothing - I was hoping to go out tonight or at least go to LL Bean for some pumpkin event, but I just found out my husband is playing tonight.

Lots going on tonight b/c it's the weekend before Halloween and I get to sit home by myself again. I'm home alone every Friday night b/c my husband goes to my brother's house to jam. We stopped going to HS Friday night football games b/c of the jamming. I have not been to 1 football game this year. It's too bad I can't go out tonight b/c we were actually invited to 2 parties, both with bands. We rarely go out so having 2 parties to choose from was exciting. Blahhhh Another night just me and the zoo.

I would love to pick up and do that. Preferrably on the night that Trace Adkins was there doing the Candelight Christmas thing at Epcot... but I'm there.

Ok.. so here's a question for you gals.

My DD15 is going to go to Germany next summer with her school. It's for 4 weeks, and for part of it they will be in Northern Germany and living with a family, and going to school, etc. I think it's going to be a wonderful experience for her.... even though she's sacrificing her summer swim season...BUT..... the German students are also coming here in March.... Our DD wants to host one of the students, and her teacher thinks it's great, since we have such a large / busy family, that they are supposed to just come on in, and do what we do.... which is alot... We could make room for them to sleep, and feed them.. but I'm worried about letting them have the experiences.... since my DD swims everyday... and this would also be at the same time as one of the BIG swim meets that we have to go and stay at a hotel for a few nights... I don't think it's fair to bring this student and have them go to a long/ boring swim meet... my DD says her teacher says that's ok... what do you think... I know they are planning some trips with the school to take them to NY / Philly/ DC.. but we are expected to do something with them..... it's not like it's summer and we could take them to the beach... I don't know if we should... what do you think....

Also... do you have any ideas for a host gift that I could send with my daughter to her host family in Germany? I have no ideas...
