Hello everyone. We are planning a wedding on Sept. 23, 2006. I'm still trying to figure out all these abbreviations... I'm not doing so well yet... I have a question... I know some place have dance floors, some don't and some won't have any dancing allowed... can anyone give me some ideas of what they've done and where that have included dancing? I"ve checked out the website but it's not all that informative and since I can't start planning with an event planner until the end of Sept. this year, I'm just trying to figure things out right now. :-) We have to have dancing... I was thinking of the Attic at the Boardwalk, but I don't think they do dancing... so I was thinking the Yacht Club - Ariel's or The Living Seas... we just want a DJ, nothing fancy... too many different types of music we love... salsa, hip-hop, cha-cha slide for the little ones, swing... any things you've all done or are planning would be greatly appreciated so I can get some ideas. Thanks so much!!! I've had soooooooooo many questions answered already by just going through the threads.
Keep smiling!! :-)
D

Hi ya--you can dance at all the options you chose. How big a wedding are you planning? You CAN talk to a sales manager and she can answer all those sorts of questions. Click on the "have someone call me" link on the website. The attic you get to dance on the porch. Living Seas they will set up a dance floor and Ariels already has a dance floor. Congrats and good luck on your choices...I planned for over a year before we finally picked a date--and the date changed all my choices!! :)

Thanks for the info... We are planning on having 50 - 60 people. I LOVE the attic, but I think it might be too small for us... they say a max of 60 people... using indoor/outdoor facilities... Living Seas seemed cool... not sure though... we are big outdoor people... when I clicked on the have someone call me link last time, she said we couldn't do a whole lot in terms of planning and I wasn't sure if she could really answer any of my questions... so, I guess I'll give them a try again... :goodvibes

We had a DJ with dancing at Living Seas, and did not have a dance floor. Our group was seated on the upper level of the room and they cleared the lower for dancing.

Just because they can't do a whole ton of planning doesn't mean they can't help you decide on a date, locations, times, and hotel room blocks - thats what they're there for!

how many people are you expecting to attend your wedding? i know you guys must have read me rave about this place but i can't do it enough: the atlantic dance hall is a great place to have your reception. what better place to do your dancing than at a dance hall? there is lots of room for you and your guests to dance to salsa, swing, and everything your heart desires. it's also at such a great location: the boardwalk! if you need any further information about the atlantic dance hall, give me a buzz.
