Dance Recital time again!

Tonight is my dd's dance recital. Its so hard to believe another year has passed. I think this makes 19 years of recitals for my dh and me! One good thing is that she can drive herself to practice next year! Yeaaaaaaaa!!
Anybody else in the recital mode around their house? We have costumes and shoes all over the place LOL

Here too! We had our practice last night. Didnt get home until after 10. I had one cranky eight year old this morning!DD is in 3 numbers this year so we have 3 different costumes, tights, hair things etc.
I love recital time!

this would be neat......now thinking of who I know who has kids that are doing this type of thing......my daughter and now my granddaughter is into SPORTS......they did soccer....basketball .....track......you know stuff like that.....I would love to see a dance routine.......thanks ladies

Here too! Fortunately this is DD4's first year of dance, so only 2 numbers, one ballet and one tap. But the school ordered costumes without measuring the girls, so I have been making slight alterations and making sure decorations will stay on. Nineteen years, yikes! That is a lot of recitals; I guess that is what I have to look forward to if DD4 sticts with it and DD19mo picks it up!

Recital #11 coming up in 2 weeks. This year she's in 5 numbers in each of 2 shows. We've got 6 costumes, 4 pairs of shoes, 3 colors of tights, and an assortment of things for her hair. Each year its gotten easier and easier because she needs less help with the changes and make-up. Our recital theme this year is Disney because in October the girls will be performing at Disney. Can't wait!

Our dance instructor is a Disney addict just like we are. She usually uses some kind of Disney theme. My dd will do 5 dances and help with the classes she teaches too. I was so happy when she got old enough to change costumes by herself. (or the oldest one got old enough to help her.) The worst problem is hair changes now. The girls in the class help each other out and sometimes stand ready for a quick costume change if needed.
