I just got my scores!!!

I gots myself a 1950!

w00t!!!

I got a 710 writing, a 660 critical reading and a 580 math (I dropped 10 points on that one, but I'll survive).

I'm 50 points off of 2000! But I'm not gonna take it again. I swear.

and when I said that above sentence out loud to my mom, I said "fifty points" like Dumbledore does at he end of the Sorceror's Stone, in case you were wondering.

Oh, I'm soooo excited.

I think me and a couple friends are going to try the ACT this spring, that way we can improve by the time junior and senior year comes around.
I'm nervous because I have no idea what it's going to be like.

can you explain the grading system?

I think George tried once....but I don't remember it.

That way I can properly congratulate you or wish you luck and whatnot. (although, those sound like good scores).

erm... well you can either take a higher or lower paper.

higher: level 5-7

lower: level 3-6

i got a 6 and a 7. we didn't get our english SATs results because they marked them wrong...

Well then, I guess It's CONGRATS! and I got my results late because of an error. I hope that yours gets fixed so you can get your scores!

LUCKY! SATs are the spawn of the devil. I swear it.

and yes, 1950 is a pretty good score. 1600 is average and it tends to be that anything over 2000 is excellent.

However, I'm friends with some of the most genius kids at school. Georgie got a 2180, Molly got a 2130 and Kevin got a 2200.

The highest you can score is a 2400. There are 3 sections, each scored out of 800 points.

And guess what guys! I got a 10 on my essay! (the highest you can get is 12, which requires two perfect 6's from the evaluaters).

We had I think 3 other kids in my graduating class who got above 2000. They were (and I hate to generalize) either Indian (from India) OR Asian (Korean).
