Dance Moms - anyone still watching?

I heard via a spoiler website that some crazy stuff goes down at Nationals Can't wait to see it!

So sick of Kelly. She lets her kids get abused becuase "Abby has contacts in the industry?" I'm on Team Abby all the way (and Abby is the bad guy!). Kelly is a wimp. Nobody should run your kids over for "the business". Kelly is supposed to protect her kids.


Asia - I don't know what to say. She's so adorable and so gifted but her gifts are being used in such a perverse way. MacKenzie is the one who is winning at life here. This is a sad sitution of "the first will be last and the last will be first".

When I was young I was a dancer so I love all things dance, but my darling daughter wanted no part of dance. She is actually a martial artist who is a few belts away from black in American Kenpo. So I'm a dojo mom. She actually trains intensly just like the Dance Mom kids. We are getting ready for another tournament in a few weeks.

Oooh, me too. Tap is my DD's favorite class. But, something tells me these girls don't tap (or don't tap well). Seems they only can do these lyrical/acro/jazzy routines. They sure as heck aren't ballerinas, which, in my limited dance understanding (I was a swimmer so we aren't real sure where DD came from ) is the foundation of all dance (at least according to DD's school). Our school has a phenomenal group of older girls and their tap routine for our recital blew me away.

Sort of, but I think she actually got physical which other than a swinging purse and some water hasn't really been done with Abby.

Kristi and that other mom (can't remember her name) did get into it in NOLA but not sure how physical it got.

These women are trashy and ridiculous. They are getting paid to act like fools and their hurting their daughters in the process. I have to admit I love the show if only for the amazing performances at the end of each show. But this is getting ridiculous. Even black Patsy is getting into the act with her nonsense.

That being said, I was rooting for Lucas to win at the last show. He is too amazing.

I feel like Maddie and Nia will grow and come out unscathed but the other kids including Mackenzie will grow up with all kinds of neuroses from this experience. Peyton looks like she will break. I really feel bad for her! Everyone forgets these are little kids!

Kelli's children, Brooke and Paige, only dance for 5 or 6 episodes this season then are not shown at all at the competitions.

They do go to the meet and greets that were pre-booked, and tweet that they are dancing at ALDC studio, just not on the competition team.

So I doubt any charges were filed but they decided to take time off and or are dropped from the team. A young girl for Abby's other show comes in to replace the two.

The girls still talk and are friendly with all the other girls but Kelli is still bad-mouthing Abby whether it be for show or real, hasn't been determined.

If Paige and Brooke got dropped from team the fault lies with Kelli. Abby is a monster and treated those girls badly yet Kelli stayed for the $$. No amount of money is worth having your daughters treated badly like that. none!

I will never forgive Abby for starting a fight with Cathy's obnoxious choreographer and then putting Paige in the middle of that, embarrssing her...then turning around and making him a guest choreographer on Abby's other dance show! Get outta here with that nonsense!

I don't disagree at all. I am assuming they will edit it to be a huge fight with Kelli being the reason the children are asked to leave the competition team.

My daughter follows more closely as she really likes Chloe. The only thing that helps me is that I know a LOT of it is just acting.

I don't think the video was supposed to show what happened in this instance, just some of their usual stuff. She was supposedly booked in November.

I just think Kellie has gotten too obsessed in her children succeeding in show business. Let them be kids, for goodness sakes.

Keep in mind, a lot of the reality show folks are told to keep up the story lines on twitter so its hard to say what is even true or not on there.

Its painful to watch Brooke dance at Abby's. The kid doesn't even remember how to smile.

Can someone refresh my memory as to whether or not it was Kelli whose daughter didn't do a solo at finals because the mother had gotten into some fight, I think it was in New Orleans? And am I the only one who thinks that Brooke can't sing? Whenever I've heard her, there's so much background to cover her voice. I probably think like Abby here-the only reason anyone wants to hear her is because of her relationship with the TV show.

It was Christi and Leslie but if I remember correctly Kelli's children don't dance near the end. Not sure why but they always create some type of drama. I am wondering if maybe the father has them at that time and this is just the way they scripted the show.

Brooke sounded a little better on the show they did right before the season opener but no, I don't think she can sing that well.

She doesn't know how for one thing. She needs voice lessons.

But, Abby is right that if it wasn't for the show, Brooke wouldn't have a chance in the music business.
