This one caused me endless problems compared to the SW and AK vids. I could not think of a song or theme that gave me a satisfactory mood all the way through the video. The first edits left me with videos that kind of highlited various rides set to the rides music but it was dull viewing and became to long and weary. I decide to use the music to wishes and some of Danny Elfmans excellent Beetlejuice music to combine some views of rides, the park and MNSSHP parade in a better paced montage.
I discovered early on though some problems,
mg: on our visits to the MK which tended to be in the morning we kept getting dull grey weather despite the heat and humidity and my instinct told me to hold off filming and grab footage later in the day. This of course did not happen too plan so I ended up with not enough coverage of the park. I also came across a few problems with getting good Iconic shots of landmarks especially the entrance area due to large amounts of scaffolding , and other disney classic views were impossible due to the mark twain being out of action.
As i finally got around to editing what I had into a short film I also discovered a lot of the night shots and inside ride shots had not come out that well. I did not want to use the infra red type B&W view normally used but show the rides lit as you would see them with your own eyes, the camera had different ideas though .
Anyway last week after getting faster and bigger HDs put on the PC I discovered I had enough power to get to work with some filters and can re expose areas of the footage frame by frame.
Anyway heres the quick result. Its set to music by Wishes which in itself was hard to edit and chop up due to the many key changes. The fireworks are a combination of shots of Wishes being seen from the veranda at Narcoocees(ill correct the spelling later) and the Hallowishes display from MNSSHP. Fireworks are always the worst thing to film so I just chose a few key shots that fitted the music at the right points. The second part concentrates more on the Parade and I now realise I should have changed position at some point but to be honest It had been a long day and I was dead on my feet, the music is Danny Elfmans Beetlejuice theme.
you can use the link below(the neptune one) which will also open sea world or AK as I have set the page up so you can choose when the window opens. Just to remind you broadband is needed and its better if you want to watch fullscreen to allow it to load once. Everything should happen automatically, you dont need to press play once the vid has been selected.
Theres MGM and Epcot to come not forgetting Universal and Busch so my new hardware had better keep cool...
Please give feedback..
