I can't believe that THIS thread hasn't been locked yet. All the other ones went into oblivion. Kinda sad how so many opinions can be said on here but for some reason one small thing such as this has to be locked - only makes people want to talk about it more.

I have read this thread and I have absolutely no idea why people are still in a tizzy over this. It's obvious that your complaints have been listened to and some action has been taken.

It just amazes me how people seem to just want to complain simply for the sake of complaining.


ALSO... come on guys... do you HONESTLY think Dame Doris is a REAL PERSON!?!?!? It's obviously a contrived character... maybe contrived in poor taste( by some's standards) but contrived none the less..

I was the first to post on the introduction thread, and still feel that Dame Doris is unappropriate. However, I don't understand why people in these forums must continue to taunt the moderators with posts about how quickly a thread will be closed. The moderators are doing their jobs, why torment them. And as for Webmaster Pete. I private messaged him, didn't realize I could fine his email, when Dame Doris first appeared. I respectfully explained my opinion and asked for his views as to why her column was being included. He very respectfully wrote me back and explained his point of view. While we didn't see eye to eye on it all, I very much appreciated his reply and respect his rights to run his board as he sees fit.

I will be the first to admit that it was I who spoke of the Moderator who kept closing the threads on this issue. Even though I did take part in the original thread, I honestly don't have a hugely strong issue with the whole Dame Doris thing or anything along those lines.

I do wish that I had worded my OP on my thread that was deleted quickly - I realized after I posted that I could have worded it in a much nicer and much clearer manner. One that echoed my true view of things in a much much better way. So, for that I apologize. I also NEVER should have directly addressed the moderator by screenname and am going to apologize by private message directly to them as soon as I finish this post.

Even though I have been involved, I will admit that this whole issue has been taken entirely too far and I regret my first post in this thread and wish I would have just let the whole thing drop after my first opinion (which I feel was worded better) was given and just let it drop after the 2 threads were closed.

Again, I apologize, and as I have kept out of most of these debates and am usually quite glad to, I will return to my only friendly self. My Disney-self! Sorry all...
