Wasn't sure how many Cowboy fans are on here, but since they are Americas team and Dis is kinda America's park, thought it would be ok.

What do any of you think about that atrocity last night? I would not have felt bad at all with a simple hard fought, come down to the wire L, but getting beat that bad is frightening to those of us who thought this was the boys cinderella year to come back and take it all.

Granted Peyton is a great coach, knows the boys intimately including the best way to play them, but man oh man, they made the boys look like a college team. It was downright embarrassing.

Was hoping some of you on here had some thoughts and insights in how you think things will go from here out. Right now looks like they will go to the play-offs barring some major tank job, but after that stomping last night, they probably won't go far, and no one will be happy with a simple play-off single appearance and out in the first game.

I think the cockiness crept in and they started believing their own press.

Saints played a great game and were well prepared. Cowboys will be fine if they get back to working hard.

The Cowboys have so much talent and in my opinion the best coach in the history of the NFL. They had a bad game, whatever the reason, Parcells will have them learn from it and they'll be in the play-offs for a while, hopefully with the Saints. ;)

I lost interest in the Cowboys after they fired Tom Landry (i.e. when Jerry Jones took over). After that, they ceased to be America's Team in my opinion.

I am just sad that the Texans did not draft Reggie Bush. The Texans passed up both Bush and Vince Young (who defeated the Texans yesterday).

:thumbsup2

I am going to the Falcons/Cowboys game on Saturday -I can't wait!!!!!!!! :cool1:

The Cowboys defense isn't as great as some in the NFL publications would lead you to believe. They're just not getting to the QB enough and dumping him on the ground for my taste. You gotta have that constant "in your face" pressure and rattle the QB's confidence. The Cowboys "D" wasn't even comming close to Drew Brees last night. The Saints "D" did a pretty good job of applying pressure on Romo, though.

Also the Cowboy's secondary needs to be upgraded. Roy Williams is a hard hitting saftey but just doesn't do to well when he's in coverage situations. Parcells has talked about moving him to linebacker at times and has a nickname for him. He calls Willams "Biscuit" because Parcells says, Williams is one biscuit away from being a linebacker. :teeth: I think Williams would be like Dexter Coakley if he was moved to middle Linebacker, but that's just my opinion. They need to upgrade and leave Willams to patrol the middle of the field and let him provide the hits, he loves to give.

Bottom line, the Cowboys still have work to do if they're to be considered a Superbowl contender. This is coming from a person who's been a fan of the Cowboys since the 70's. I think a another good free agent or two next season and another solid draft, will take them to the next level.

Agreed good assessment, their D last night was the worst I've ever seen, they were terrible. Hope the Tuna is kicking a little you know what today, they have a TON of work to do.

I'm okay. It was one game - a really, really bad game, but still one game. I agree that they were starting to believe their own hype. Now they know for a fact that they have some work to do to get to where they want to be.

I may be hosting a Saints therapy thread next week. The media here is calling last night "the biggest win in franchise history" among other things. Coach Payton has his work cut out for him keeping these guys from being over confident against the Redskins. :worried:

I'm sure your saying that sarcastically, but thats ok, he's been performing fair, not awesome, but pretty good, I think his off the field antics are annoying, but I honestly don't think he is technically distracting to the team, he just needs to grow up, he's still acting like a little kid.

I'm an Eagle fan. How is T.O working out for you?

When Dallas signed TO, all I could think of was Oh no, there goes the season. But to be honest, he hasn't been a distraction yet (even when they were losing), I know that the first year is always the honeymoon time though, so the verdict is still out.

Now, as to last nights game. Yes it was ugly, yes it was embarrasing. BUT, it was just one game. Last week, Dallas was on top of the world. This week they are humbled. I have seen to many good teams suffer bad losses to worry about one game. Now, if they lose to Atlanta on Saturday, then we can start the worrying.

True...We will have to wait for Christmas to see how this plays out. Lets just say as an Eagles fan, I'm a little worried about getting spanked.

I got to say, I really like Romo. You guys may go places with him.
