Dakota Fanning in New Moon?

I made this thread to hear what people think about Dakota fanning playing Jane for the Twilight Sequel--New Moon. Jane is a member of the Volturi.

Personally i don't think Dakota fits the role. She is to young, I think some one like Megan fox or some one older would be better at it.

What Do you think???

Eh. I'm indifferent about the actors they choose for the movies.. it would be interesting to see if she could pull it off but this seems like another fake rumor.

I like Dakota Fanning when she played little kids when she was little, but now that she is older and still plays little kids it gets kinda annoying. I am hoping this is another Twilight rumor.

its mostlikely a rumor. anyway the only one who can fully confirm new moon thing is, like i have said on the Twilight thread before, Stephenie if you want to know if something is true check her website and dakota is a good actress but she wouldnt be a good Jane.

I personally am excited to see how she does with it. I've hated her in previous movies, but I think she has the ability to play it. I definitely pictured Jane as something like her. She needs to look innocent and young- that's what makes her creepy. Just my opinion..

I agree.
I think she's very talented, everyone should give her a fair chance.
Now that I think about it, I don't really know any kiddie movies she's done besides maybe Cat in the Hat when she was younger? Other then that, I think her roles are usually pretty intense actually. I always saw her as one of the more "serious" kid actors.

"Uptown Girls" comes to mind, but, then again she played a little girl who was ignored by her mom and whose father was in a coma.
So, while the movie was fun, her role was actually kind of serious.

She's worked with some top notch actors in Hollywood, and is very talented, IMO.

I dont care you gets cast for twilight, I wont be seeing it. But I just dont think she is the right fit for the role.

Jane isn't supposed to be Megan Fox-aged, as the OP said.
Dakota really seems to fit the role, to me, anyway.
