We made our fastpasses for our trip and now I have been playing with them a bit.

We have breakfast at Tusker House at 8:10 and originally I made a FP+ for 9:20 for Safari, then a bit of time for Rafikis, then a FP+ for Everest and then another for Dino. We will want to ride Primeval Whirl too.

Then I was thinking that when we'll be done at Tusker House it will be close to park opening and Safari shouldn't be too bad so why waste a FP on it. So here is our current plan....

Breakfast at 8:10
Safari standby
Rafiki's
Everest 11:25-12:25
Dino 12:25-1:25
Primeval Whirl 1:25-2:25

We're not going at an especially busy time. Is it a mistake to not to Safari as a FP or do you think this plan makes sense?

(I love and hate FP+. I like not having to run around for Legacy FP, but I hate stressing over which rides I will ride 2 months out!)

Your new plan makes perfect sense. You will not need a FP for Safari at that time

Your choices of FP+ are fine and the Safari shouldn't be too busy for standby at that time.

Do you plan to do FotLK, Nemo, or FoW shows? If so, what show times? When are you planning lunch? These decisions may affect your FP+ times. If you haven't already, I would fit any of these you want to do into your plans, and adjust the FP+ times accordingly.

I always do FotLK when I am planning to be in Africa, do FoW when I am planning to be in Asia, and do Nemo when I am planning to be in Dinoland. I also just do lunch at whatever is close by at lunch time. That will of course cut down on walking.

See, this is why I post! I forgot about FotLK and my son loves it. I will double check those times. Thank you!

We haven't done a full on "vacation" with DS. We lived there until last winter so we're used to just going for a few hours and then going home. This week long planning is very different!

Like you, we also do lunch at whatever place is close when we're hungry.

At first I had a fp+ booked for the safari for right after our 8am TH breakfast as well, but I changed it and booked it for 2pm. We're going to head over straight after breakfast and if it's a little to no wait (EMH 8am opening) we'll hop on, and still use our fp for a 2nd run at it later in the day, my dd said she would love to go twice. :)
