Well, we just found out DS is likely allergic to dairy and peanuts. We are waiting for the test to come back to 100%confirm. But the reactions he is having are pretty telling.

We have ADRs at the following places for our next trip. Do you think we will have any issues at any of these places?

Akershus breakfast
Ohana breakfast
Disney Jr Play & Dine breakfast
Crystal Palace lunch

you can find peanuts anywhere in the parks because they are sold from carts plus people bringing in food from home. I would be extra careful at Ohana as there could be leftover, not cleaned well peanut sauce on tables. I am not sure about peanuts in dessert area at CP. I can not remember if they have ice cream make your own sundaes

Disney is good with allergies and will take care of you. Peanuts are not too hard but dairy will be much harder. Disney will still take care of you. Buffets are harder. With peanuts ( DS is PA) we can pretty much walk though the line with a Chief and know what to avoid. Dairy is soooo easy for cross contamination that you might want all food to come from the back kitchen. You will want to note allergies on your reservation and speak to a chief or manager at each sit down. Many places now have an allergy menu that is very helpful. As for Ohana, we avoid for dinner when they have the peanut sauce. We have not done the breakfast but not really avoided it on purpose. I would be comfortable with it but not everyone is. We have had more issues out of restaurants than inside. People eating peanut butter crackers everywhere!!! Just wash hands often, try to keep them out of mouth and be prepared. Talk with your doctor about your action plan and always carry epi pens. It's really scary with a new diagnosis but you will get good at it. We are 8 years post diagnosis (at age 2) and he is a 4+ number two protein reactive and we have never had an issue at WDW.

My kids avoid at least a dozen different foods and we are able to dine at the majority of TS restaurants. With just peanut and milk you shouldn't have any trouble. Like pp said though there is no such thing as a completely peanut free restaurant because people bring their own food, but they will take precautions when preparing your meals and any restaurant should be able to manage peanut/dairy free.

There area few restaurants like Ohana and perhaps some of the Asian restaurants in Epcot that may have more than the average amount of peanut in use. If the allergy is severe and you worry about trace amounts on tables, chairs, etc. you might want to skip those. I avoided these restaurants for my oldest who was severely allergic to rice (even in trace amounts). But I do know there are people with peanut allergies who dine here without issues.

Thank you everyone! This is really helpful as we begin to navigate the food allergy world. We may skip Ohana or split our family up for that morning just to be safe since our allergy-free DD is obsessed with Lilo & Stitch. Once we find out how severe it is we will make our decision. Thank you thank you!
