I was wondering if anyone has a list of snacks that are dairy free? My 2 years old son has an allergy to milk protein. It would be nice to know before hand, so when he sees people with ice cream or other tasty treats I know what I can offer him. Are the Mickey rice krispie treats dairy free?

I just found out that that the Pineapple and Orange flavors of Dole Whip are now 100% dairy free. They used have a small amount of sodium caseinate but now the Precision Foods web site say those two flavors are lactose and dairy free, and they now say vegan.

At this same website you can also buy the dry mix and with a ice cream freezer make Dole Whip at home.

The ice cream place on Main Street in Magic Kingdom has Toufutii ice cream and/ or rice dream. Add some Mickey Sprinkles and Hershey Syrup! Also the ice cream place in Epcot near the fountain has dairy free ice cream. Same with Beaches and Cream in the Beach Club and most other table service venues.

I don't remember about the Rice Krispie treats...I think probably not.

Most snack carts have izzadoodles...I think I botched the spelling but they are really big ice pops.

Previously, the pretzels and popcorn throughout the parks were dairy free...but I like to recheck on that each time we go.

Fruit carts in Animal Kingdom. I have heard that Pizza Safari has dairy free cheese option for Pizza.

I believe Churros in Epcot by Mexico are also Dairy free but double check!

Goofys Candy Place in DTD and Baby Cakes In DTD both offer lost of dairy free choices. My daughter seems to be the only one around that did not like baby cakes.

Most CS locations will have dairy free brownies and/or cookies. I think they are enjoy life. Some will give my dd a bowl of toufutti as a dessert option.

The first year we went, my poor dd had lots of those Popsicles and not much else because we had no idea that Disney was so good allergies. Vacations have gotten much better for her!

Babycakes bakery inside the Pollo Campero restaurant in DtD is completely vegan, aka dairy free. The chocolate chip cookie sandwiches are to die for! As a PP said, Dole Whips pineapple and orange are vegan. Those can be found at Aloha Isle in Adventureland in MK (and also at the Poly at Captain Cooks). Make sure to note his dairy allergy on all your table service ADRs, and remind the hostess when you check in. The chef will come out and be able to make him a dairy free meal, as well as dairy free desserts. Almost all the restaurants and ice cream shops have rice dream or tofutti ice cream.

The blog glutenfreedairyfreewdw (the author is a regular on the disABILITIES! board; you should really check out that board) has posted the latest dietary reference sheets from WDW Special Diets. One of them is their dairy free offerings. I think it looks the same as the one that I got a few weeks ago.

The Itzkadoozie popsicles have been replaced with another tri colour popsicle but it's still dairy free. The frozen pineapple and strawberry bars are also dairy free.

Be careful with Dole Whips. On the disABILITIES! board, somebody confirmed with Disney that they make the vanilla (which does have casein) in the same bucket as they mix the pineapple and orange. This is a huge cross contamination risk.

I don't think the rice krispie treats are safe. Even before my 12yo had to go gluten free she couldn't eat them I think because of milk (though it could have been because of another food; she's got a long list of foods she has to avoid).

Check out the bagged Goofy's candies. They're clearly marked for allergens.

Popcorn is a favourite snack of DD12's. Back when she could still eat gluten but not milk she also really enjoyed the large pretzels (though we never checked the ones in Germany; only the ones in the regular carts around the parks).

Yup we are gf/df as well and the rice krispie treats have butter I believe? I know they contain milk ingredients.

I wouldn't be worrying so much about the buckets they use even with a quick rinse out the amount of sodium caseinate would be very very small since rinsing would remove almost all the mix and there is very little sodium caseinate in the mix. (yes I know even a tiny amount could be an issue just keep reading)

I think the more likely issue is that both orange and pineapple can be swirled with the vanilla through the same nozzle on a dual machine.

I'm not sure if the CM making your dole whip float of pineapple or orange in pineapple juice would understand why you only wanted the pineapple dole whip from the machine that could also do a pineapple/orange swirl. Not the one that that was pineapple/vanilla.

The risk from the machine that only has pineapple and orange IMO isn't an issue since the vanilla doesn't ever touch that machine. I do think that the bucket is a cross contamination risk though for many. Each person needs to really understand their own personal level of sensitivity to know if this is ok for them or not. I know that for peanuts we wouldn't worry about this level of cross contamination but many others could be killed by this level. It really does come down to understanding the allergy. For somebody who's new to it, I'd err on the side of caution.
